Kang-Won Wayne Lee is a faculty of Civil & Environmental Engineering (CVE) and RITRC Director at URI. He worked as CVE Director of Graduate Studies from 1996 to 1999 and served as Chairperson from 2005 to 2008. He also served as Chairman of the URI Research Council from 1990 to 1991, and a URI Faculty Senate Executive Committee member from 1992 to 1994. In 1992, Prof. Lee established the RITRC, the recipient of a $12 million research grant under the Transportation Equity Act for the 21st Century (TEA21) in 1998 and served as R&D Director for the URI Transportation Center (TC) Grant Program from 1999 to 2003. He also has been working with the consortium of University of Maine and received USDOT Region 1 UTC – Transpiration Infrastructure Durability Center grant ($14.7M) in 2018. Prof. Lee earned his B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from Seoul National University in 1974. During his college years, he served in the Korean Army for three years. Following two years of consulting work as a civil engineer for Lyon Associates and TAMS Inc., he returned to academia and earned his M.S. degree in Geotechnical Engineering from Rutgers Univ. in 1978. After briefly working as a highway construction inspector for the NJ Department of Transportation (DOT), he continued his post-graduate education and received his Ph.D. degree in Transportation Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in 1982. He assisted Late Prof. Thomas W. Kennedy who developed Superpave asphalt mix-design during and after his doctoral program. He began his higher education teaching career at the King Saud University in 1982 and joined the URI faculty in 1985. Prof Lee’s research interests are focused on Intelligent Transportation Infrastructure and Systems (ITIS), Sustainable Infrastructure and Energy. He is a founding member of the New England University Transportation Center (NEUTC) at MIT and the New England Transportation Consortium (NETC). He also initiated a joint research program between URI and RIDOT in 1986. He is a founder of the Bituminous Materials Committee (BMC) of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and served as chair for 1999-01. He has been a member of Pavement Committee, an ETG for the LTPP Data Analysis Contest, and currently serves as a paper reviewer for Journal of Transportation Engineering and Journal of Civil Engineering Materials. He served as President of the RI Section for 2006-07 and has been elected as an ASCE Fellow in 2008. Prof. Lee was member of several committees of Transportation Research Board (TRB) including AFK40 and AHD25, and currently is a member of AKG90 - Stabilization of Geomaterials and Recycled Materials, AKM30 – Asphalt Materials Selection and Mix Design, and AKT30 – Pavement Maintenance. Other professional memberships include ASTM, AAPT, ITE, and ASEE. He serves as a paper reviewer for the TRR, Journal of AAPT, ASTM Journal of Geotechnical Engineering., ARR, and other technical publications and conferences.

Faiz Uddin Ahmed Shaikh received his Ph.D. degree in civil engineering from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2005. He subsequently held a prestigious post-doctoral fellowship by Japan Society for the promotion of science for two years. Since 2009, he has been with Curtin University, Australia. He is a Chartered profession engineer (CPEng.) of Australia, fellow of Engineers Australia (FIEAust) and member of Concrete institute of Australia. Among many research interests the sustainable use of various industrial by-products in infrastructure application e.g. in concrete, pavement material, etc. is his one of the key research areas where he has contributed in terms of research publication, industry collaboration, training/mentoring of young engineers and success in research fund. He has successfully completed various research on the utilization of fly ash, blast furnace slag, ferro-nickel slag and silica fume as partial replacement of cement in concrete; construction and demolition wastes as aggregates in concrete; and development of geopolymer concrete using fly ash or fly ash-slag blend or lithium refinery residue-fly ash. He has supervised 8 PhD and 3 MPhil students and currently supervising 5 PhD students. His has about 212 refereed publications in his credit out of which 161 are in reputed international journals. He also holds an h-index of 50 and total citations of his research of about 8320 according to Google scholar.He is associate editor of Australian journal of structural engineering and Frontiers in materials journal. He is in editorial board member of various international journals published by Elsevier, Hindawi, Techno Press, MDPI, etc. He is regular assessor for ARC, Qatar national research fund, Czech science foundation and Chilean national science and technology commission. He was also invited as keynote and invited speakers in numerous international conferences.He is also awarded about A$1.02M competitive grant by various research organisations and industries including Australian Research Council (ARC), Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS), Forest and wood products Australia, Waste Authority of Western Australia, tyre stewardship Australia, Hitachi Zosen Inova Australia Pty Ltd., etc.

Roger is Emeritus Professor of Water Engineering in the School of Engineering at Cardiff University; Chair Professor at Hohai University and the Yangtze Institute for Conservation and Development, China; and an Independent Waterand Environmental Engineering Consultant. He graduated from Imperial College with a PhD in 1976, followed by posts at the universities of Birmingham (1977-86),Bradford (1987-97), and Cardiff (Professor 1997-18). He has managed a wide range of research projects on hydro-environmental modelling and has been involved in over 100 EIAstudies worldwide. He has published extensively in the field of hydro-environmental engineering, advises governments and consulting companies internationally on water security topics,and regularly gives lecturesand participates in media and TV interviews on various topics, including water security.He is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering,a Foreign Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, a Fellow of the European Academy of Sciences. He was President of the International Association for Hydro-Environment Engineering &Research(2011-15).

Dr Chua Kian Jon is currently an Associate Professor with the Department of Mechanical Engineering, the National University of Singapore. He has been conducting research on renewable energy systems and heat recovery systems since 1997. He has conducted both modelling and experimental works for specific thermal energy systems. He is highly skilled in designing; fabricating; commissioning and testing many sustainable energy systems to provide for heating, cooling, and humidity control for both small- and large-scale applications. He has been elected to several fellowships including Fellow of IMechE, Fellow of Institution of Engineering Technology, Fellow of Energy Institute, and Fellow of Royal Society of Biology. He has more than 200 international peer-reviewed journal publications, 6 book chapters and recently written six monographs on air conditioning, dehumidification, and thermal energy storage and processes. He was highlighted among the top 1% of scientists in the world by the Universal Scientific Education and Research Network and top 2% in the Stanford list of energy researchers. His works has garnered more than 13,000 over citations with a current h‐index of 61. Further, he owns more than 12 patents related to several innovative cooling and dehumidification systems. On a regular basis, he has been invited to deliver many plenary and keynote talks on his research findings. He is the Principal Investigator of several multi-million competitive research grants. Additionally, he has been awarded multiple local, regional, and international awards for his breakthrough research endeavours.

Dr. Faisal Manzoor Arain is an experienced construction project management professional and academic leader with an MS and PhD in Construction Project Management. He has extensive experience of working at management and leadership positions in industry and academia in Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Singapore and Canada. He received a certificate from Harvard University, Boston, USA upon completion of the Leadership Development Program. Dr. Arain has a wealth of technical knowledge and experience as he worked in numerous professionals roles as an Architect, Project Coordinator, Project Manager, Director Projects, and Consultant with construction industry in Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Canada in the domains of Architecture and Construction Project Management. He has extensive experience of managing all phases of construction projects including conceptual phase, front end engineering design, detailed engineering, and related project aspects within construction project management domain. Dr. Arain has consulted, researched and published widely in the discipline of Project Management and Design and Construction Management. He has authored over 120 research publications, 2 book chapters, and 13 books (http://www.amazon.com/-/e/B0028ORPJK). His research interests include leadership, project management, designing educational spaces, design and construction interface issues, and the development and application of knowledge-based systems for management of building projects. Dr. Arain serves on editorial boards of several international research journals. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Construction Project Management published by Nova Science Publishers Inc., USA. He is an expert member of the World Association for Sustainable Development, UK. Dr. Arain worked as Chair, Construction Project Management with Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT), Calgary, Alberta. He served as the Associate Dean of the School of Sustainable Building and Environmental Management at NAIT, Edmonton, Alberta. He also assisted Saskatchewan Polytechnic, Regina providing educational, administrative and strategic leadership for a new baccalaureate degree program in construction management. Dr. Arain worked as the Senior Principal/Senior Dean, Niagara College (NC) Campuses in KSA. As the Senior Principal/Senior Dean, provided academic quality, administrative and strategic leadership. He recently served as the Vice President, Academic at the Northern Lakes College (NLC), Alberta, Canada.

Dr. Shahria Alam is a Professor of Civil Engineering and the Tier 1 Principal’s Research Chair in Resilient & Green Infrastructure in the School of Engineering and at The University of British Columbia (UBC)’s Okanagan campus. He is serving as the Director of the Green Construction Research & Training Center (GCRTC) at UBC. Dr. Alam is the Chair of the Engineering Mechanics and Materials Division of the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering (CSCE). He received his PhD in Civil/Structural Engineering from Western University in 2008. His research interests include smart and recycled materials and their structural engineering applications. He has published more than 300 peer-reviewed articles in these areas. He is the recipient of numerous national and international awards including three best paper awards, and last year’s EGBC Sustainability Award 2021. Currently, Dr. Alam is serving as an Associate Editor of ASCE’s Journal of Bridge Engineering and Journal of Materials in Civil Engineering.

Dr. Yang is a full professor in the School of Engineering, RMIT University, Australia. He received PhD in solid mechanics from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China in 2002. Prior to joining RMIT as a Lecturer in 2007, he was a postdoctoral research fellow at Department of Civil Engineering, The University of Queensland from 2002-2004, a research fellow then a lecturer at the Department of Building and Construction, City University of Hong Kong for 3 years from the end of 2004. His main research interests include advanced composite structures, nanocomposites, structural stability and dynamics, smart structures and control, and nano/micro-mechanics. He is an author of over 360 papers including 260 journal papers which have so far attracted over 18300 Google Scholar citations with h-index 78. He is the Highly Cited Researcher (Cross Field) in 2019, 2020 and 2021 by Clarivate Analytics and is named by Australian Research Magazine as Global Field Leader in Mechanical Engineering in 2020, Australia’s Research Field Leader in Mechanical Engineering in 2019, 2020, 2021 as well as in Structural Engineering in 2021. Prof Yang is the Editor-in-Chief of Engineering Structures, Associate Editor of Mechanics Based Design of Structures and Machines, and the editorial board member of Mechanics of Advanced Materials and Structures, Thin-Walled Structures, International Journal of Structural Stability and Dynamics, Scientific Reports, Materials, and Shock and Vibration, etc.

Paulo C. DE MORAIS, PhD, was full Professor of Physics at the University of Brasilia (UnB) – Brazil up to 2013, Appointed as UnB’s Emeritus Professor (2014), Appointed as Guest Professor of Huazhong University of Science and Technology– China (2011), Visiting Professor at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) – China (2012-2015), Appointed as Distinguished Professor at Anhui University (AHU) – China (2016-2019), Appointed as Full Professor at Catholic University of Brasília (UCB) – Brazil (2018), Appointed as CNPq-1A Research Fellowship since 2010, 2007 Master Research Prize from UnB, 2008-member of the European ERA NET Nanoscience Committee, Member of the IEEE-Magnetic Society Technical Committee, Senior Member of the IEEE Society, 2012 China’s 1000 Foreign Expert Recipient, and 2012 Academic Excellence Award from Brazilian Professor’s Union. He held two-years (1987-1988) post-doc position with Bell Communications Research – New Jersey, USA and received his Doctoral degree in Solid State Physics (1986) from the Federal University of Minas Gerais – Brazil. He graduated in both Chemistry (1976) and Physics (1977) at UnB. ProfessorMorais is member of the Brazilian Physical Society and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers – IEEE. He has served as referee for more than 50 technical journals, takes part of the Editorial Board of more than 15 technical journals and has conducted research on nanomaterials for over 40 years. He has delivered more than 150 Invited Talks all over the World. He is known for his research in preparation, characterization and applications of nanosized materials (magnetic fluid, magnetoliposome, magnetic nanoemulsion, magnetic nanocapsule, magnetic nanofilm, magnetic nanocomposite, nanosized semiconductors, polymeric dots, carbon dots, graphene quantum dots, and nanosilica). With more than 450 published papers in peer reviewed journals, he has appeared in recent World ranking of top 1% scientists, such as 2020-Stanford and 2022-Research.com.

Ngo, Huu Hao (Hao) is currently a Professor of Environmental Engineering and being Deputy Director, Centre for Technology in Water and Wastewater, and Co-Director, Joint Research Centre for Environmental Green Bioprocess, School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, FEIT, University of Technology Sydney (UTS). He has been elected as President, International Bioprocessing Association, Distinguished Fellow of International Bioprocessing Association, and Fellow of International Water Association. He is also Member of the Joint Committee of Science and Technology for International Forum of Water Sustainability (IFWS) and Yellow River EIC.Hao’s expertise and practical experience include advanced biological wastewater/waste treatment technologies (e.g. membrane bioreactor, specific attached and/or suspended growth bioreactors, anaerobic digesters, wetland and bio-sorption). His expertise spans green bioprocessing technologies, resource recovery, renewable resources, water management, environmental impact assessment, biogas/biohydrogen production, greenhouse gas emission control/climate change mitigation and solid waste management. Haohas been Clarivate Analytics, Web of ScienceHighly Cited Researchers (2019-present) and published more than 650 publications including 12 books, 42 books chapters.

Currently a fellow of ASME, ASCE, EMI and HKIE, Ir Professor Lim received a B.Eng. from University of Technology of Malaysia, M.Eng. and PhD from National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University, respectively. Prior to joining City University of Hong Kong, he was a post-doctoral research fellow at The University of Queensland and The University of Hong Kong. He is also a visiting professor at various universities worldwide. He has expertise in theory of plates and shells, dynamics of smart piezoelectric structures, nanomechanics, metamaterials and symplectic elasticity. He is currently the subject editor for Journal of Sound and Vibration, joint-editor for Journal of Mechanics of Material and Structures, subject editor for Applied Mathematical Modelling, Managing Editor (Asia-Pacific Region) for Journal of Vibration Engineering & Technologies, Associate Editor for International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, etc. and also on the editorial board of some other top-ranked international journals. He has published one very well-selling title entitled “Symplectic Elasticity”, co-authored with W.A. Yao and W.X. Zhong from Dalian University of Technology, as recorded by the publisher, World Scientific, in Engineering Mechanics and Mechanical Engineering. He has published more than 350 international journal papers and have more than 12,000 citations. Recently Professor Lim was awarded the prestigious 2020 JN Reddy Medal as a recognition “for significant and original contributions to vibration of plates and shells, smart piezoelectric structures, nanomechanics, and symplectic elasticity”. He was also previously awarded Top Referees in 2009, Proceedings A, The Royal Society. Professor Lim is a registered professional engineer in Hong Kong.

Mark is a Research Prof. at Mechanical Eng., Clarkson U, Potsdam NY, RD Manager of DFIE, Inc., Honorary Member of Building Enclosure Technology and Environment (BETEC) Committee of the National Institute of Building Science (NIBS) in Washington, DC. He worked at National Research Council of Canada (1975-2000) and was an Editor-in-Chief of J. Building Physics (1984-2018) He works in the US and Europe. He was teaching in, the US, Canada, Mexico, Germany, Poland and China. He received the highest awards in building physics in the US and Canada. His research background includesheat, air andmoisture, material science and durability of construction materials. He wrote more than 220 peerreviewed papers and 7books, has 60,000 readson the Research Gate.

Ralph M. Kennel was born in 1955 at Kaiserslautern (Germany). In 1979 he got his diploma degree and in 1984 his Dr.-Ing. (Ph.D.) degree from the University of Kaiserslautern. From 1983 to 1999 he worked on several positions with Robert BOSCH GmbH (Germany). Until 1997 he was responsible for the development of servo drives. Dr. Kennel was one of the main supporters of VECON and SERCOS interface, two multi-company development projects for a microcontroller and a digital interface especially dedicated to servo drives. Furthermore he took actively part in the definition and release of new standards with respect to CE marking for servo drives. Between 1997 and 1999 Dr. Kennel was responsible for "Advanced and Product Development of Fractional Horsepower Motors" in automotive applications. His main activity was preparing the introduction of brushless drive concepts to the automotive market. From 1994 to 1999 Dr. Kennel was appointed Visiting Professor at the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne (England, UK). From 1999 - 2008 he was Professor for Electrical Machines and Drives at Wuppertal University (Germany). Since 2008 until his retirement in 2022 he was Professor for Electrical Drive systems and Power Electronics at TechnischeUniversitaetMuenchen (Germany). His main interests are: Sensorless control of AC drives, predictive control of power electronics and contactless energy transmission. Dr. Kennel is a Senior Member of IEEE, a Fellow of IET (former IEE) and a Chartered Engineer in the UK. Within IEEE he was Treasurer of the Germany Section as well as Region 8 – furthermore he has been Distinguished Lecturer of the Power Electronics Society (IEEE-PELS) as well as Vice President Meetings of the same society. In 2018 Dr. Kennel received the Doctoral degree honoris causa from Universitatea Stefan cel Mare in Suceava (Romania). Dr. Kennel has received in 2013 the Harry Owen Distinguished Service Award from IEEE-PELS, the EPE Association Distinguished Service Award in 2015 as well as the EPE Outstanding Achievement Award in 2019. Dr. Kennel was appointed “Extraordinary Professor” by the University of Stellenbosch (South Africa) from 2016 to 2019 and as “Visiting Professor” at the Haixi Institute by the Chinese Academy of Sciences from 2016 to 2021. There he was appointed as "Jiaxi Lu Overseas Guest Professor" in 2017. In 2018 Dr. Kennel was appointed Guest Professor at Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), Harbin, China. In 2019 Dr. Kennel was appointed „Honorary Chair Professor“ ("distinguished visiting professor") at Shandong University in Jinan, China.

Soshu Kirihara is a doctor of engineering and a professor of Joining and Welding Research Institute (JWRI), Osaka University, Japan. In his main investigation “Materials Tectonics as Sustainable Geoengineering” for environmental modifications and resource circulations, multi-dimensional structures were successfully fabricated to modulate energy and materials flows effectively. Ceramic and metal components were fabricated directly by smart additive manufacturing, design and evaluation (Smart MADE) using high power ultraviolet laser lithography. Original stereolithography systems were developed, and new start-up company “SK-Fine” was established through academic-industrial collaboration.

Prof. Ming-Jen Tan is a Professor at the School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He was the Programme Director for 3D Printing Building & Construction at the Singapore Centre for 3D Printing (SC3DP) from 2014 to 2018, and is currently Director of the HP-NTU Digital Manufacturing Corporate Lab. He has a B.Sc.(Eng) and Ph.D. from Imperial College London, and has published widely in various manufacturing technologies and 3D Printing.

Dr. Hamed H. Saber is currently working as the Deputy of the Prince Saud bin Thuniyan Research Center and Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department at Jubail University College, Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Also, he has work experience at the National Research Council of Canada, and the Institute for Space and Nuclear Power Studies and Chemical and Nuclear Engineering Department at the University of New Mexico, USA. He holds a PhD from the Department of Chemical and Nuclear Engineering at University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA (GPA: 4.0/4.0). His areas of interest include building science, building envelope and structure, Heat, Air and Moisture (HAM) transport, CFD, static energy conversion using thermoelectrics, electronic cooling, and numerical modeling using finite element methods. His publications (cited over 2,645 times with google scholar h-index of 28 and i10-index of 60) have included one book, five book chapters, 59 journal paper, 71 refereed conference papers, and 114 client & research reports. Over the course of his career, he received several awards. Most recently, his latest work in assessing the energy performance of building envelopes has led to the development of the user-friendly evaluation, optimization and design tool for assessing the energy performance of reflective enclosed airspaces in building envelopes called “Reflective Airspace Tool”. This tool can be used to determine the thermal resistance of enclosed airspaces by building code authorities, designers, architects, reflective insulation manufacturers, and fenestration manufacturers for windows and skylights.In addition, he has managed a large project that has led to changes in Part 9 of the 2015 National Building Code of Canada.

Dr. Zhiyong Chen is a Scientist in the Building Systems Group at FPInnovations. He is also an external graduate faculty at the University of Maine. He has over 15 years of research experience in the advanced multidisciplinary simulation of timber structures, subject to earthquakes, wind, fire, moisture and time effects. He has authored over 120 scientific and technical publications, including textbook chapters, the Modelling Guide for Timber Structures, the Canadian Guide for Design of Tall Wood Buildings, and the Canadian CLT Handbook. Moreover, he is a member of technical task groups of the Canadian Standard for Engineering Design in Wood and the Wood Structures Committee of Canadian Society for Civil Engineering.

Tapas K. Das, PhD, PE, BCEE,FAIChE, FICS,is a Chemical and Environmental Engineer, a Fellow member of the American Institute of Engineers and Indian Chemical Society; Past Chair of the AIChE's Environmental Division; Former Chair of the Air Pollution Control Committee of the American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Board Certified Environmental Engineer (BCEE) and Board of Trustee with the Academy; former senior environmental engineer at the Washington Department of Ecology; as an Adjunct Faculty Member and Visiting Professor, since 2005 Dr. Das has been teaching several undergraduate & graduate courses in Civil, Environmental,& Mechanical Engineering, and Engineering Managementprograms at Saint Martin's University, Washington; formerly Assistant Professor in Paper Science and Chemical Engineering Department and the College of Natural Resources at the University of Wisconsin at Stevens Point, and recipient of the Professor S. K. Sharma Medal and CHEMCON Distinguished Speaker Award for 2007 given by the Development Organization for Sustainable Transformation (DOST), Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers (IIChE); and the recipient of the AIChE Environmental Division Service Award in November 2016. Dr. Das holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from Jadavpur University in Kolkata, India, and PhD from Bradford University, England. Dr. Das was a postdoctoral fellow at London’s Imperial College of Science, Technology, and a visiting scientist at Princeton University. He has wide practical and theoretical experience in various areas including air toxics and aerosols, advanced industrial wastewater treatment for water reuse, solid waste management and combustion, profitable process pollution prevention, reuse, recycle, redesign,environmental process intensification, circular economy, life cycle process or product design as a tool for innovation, industrial ecology and eco-industrial park, sustainable engineering, and sustainability.Dr. Das is a registered professional engineer (PE) in the states of Washington and Wisconsin.Prof. Das is the author of two books: Industrial Environmental Management: Engineering, and Science and Policy, 1e (John Wiley & Sons, 2020); Toward Zero Discharge: Innovative Methodology and Technologies for Process Pollution Prevention (John Wiley & Sons, 2005); and 16 book chapters, and over 80publications.

Prof. Dr. Lucien Veleva has majored in Electrochemistry (Eng.) in Sofia, Bulgaria, University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy. Her Ph.D. was done in the Institute of Physical Chemistry (Bulgaria) and after that was worked as researcher in the “Institute for Protection of Metals from Corrosion” (Sofia, Bulgaria), as a head of the National Laboratory for Testing of Corrosion. Since 1994 is Associated Professor at Applied Physics Department (Center for Investigation and Advanced Study - CINVESTAV, Mexico), teaching in Master/ Doctor Degrees programs, and also is adviser of thesis. In 2011 she received Doctor Honoris Causa; in 2012 - Francis La Que, Award ASTM G01, USA; in 2013 – NACE International Distinguished Career Award, in 2020 – National Award in Electrochemistry (Mexican Section of ECS). She has more than 200 articles in international journals, chapters in international books and 4 patents. Currently, Dr. Lucien Veleva´ research focus on the corrosion activity of commercial carbon and stainless steels, exposed to simulated concrete-pore solution, extracted from Portland cement, which is mixed with binders. In this aspect, a variety of different techniques and methods help to establish the corrosion behavior of the steel proposed as reinforcement in new low weight concretes (LWC).

Paul Grunow has completed his Ph.D at the age of 30 years from Technical University Berlin and Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin and postdoctoral studies from the COPPE/UFRJ in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He is the general manager of Trinity Solarbeteiligungen GmbH, an investment company in renewable energies. Summary of Professional Experience Florencio C. Ballesteros, Jr., Ph.D. My work on risk assessment is on the investigation of health impacts from exposure to contaminated soil and groundwater arising from petroleum spills including improper disposal of asbestos-containing waste material from geothermal power operations. I supported UNIDO’s Stockholm Convention Unit in developing the enabling mechanisms in the Philippines for effective implementation of the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) including Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers (PBDEs) and PFOS (perfluoroctane sulfonic acid). I supplement this work with my academic research on e-waste treatment and health outcomes with Japanese researchers. At the University of the Philippines Diliman, I teach a graduate course on Public Health Engineering where health issues relating to contemporary environmental health problems are discussed. In addition, I am a government accredited Environmental Impact Assessment practitioner for both public and private sectors and a member of the Technical Working Group of the Consortium of Urban Subsurface Environment Management in Asia, an inter-agency research consortium. Complementing my work on groundwater contamination health issues is on watershed management spanning both regulatory and academic aspects. I work in the Technical Working Group of the Consortium of Urban Subsurface Environment Management in Asia, an inter-agency research consortium. Further work on watershed protection includes classifying tributaries to lake systems using a site specific Philippine Stream Visual Assessment Protocol to apply needed remedies to properly manage water quality and ensure availability of safe drinking water.

Prof. Dr. Aslı ER AKAN is currently working as an associate dean in Faculty of Architecture ofÇankaya University, Ankara, Turkey. She received her B.Sc. degree in Architecture from DokuzEylül University. Then, she earned herM.Sc. andPh.D. degreesin Architecture from Middle East Technical University, 2004, 2008, respectively. During her graduate studies, she worked as research assistant in METU and conducted archival studies MAXXI archives as visiting researcher in University of Rome. Her work was supported by FDP (Faculty Development Program) Fellowship. Between 2009 and 2011 she worked as Assistant Professor Dr. in SüleymanDemirel University in Department of Architecture. Dr. John Cribbs is currently the Associate Dean of the School of Management and an Assistant Professor of Construction Management. Dr. Cribbs earned his MArch degree from the Herberger Institute of Design and the Arts and his Ph.D. in Construction Management from the Del E. Webb School of Construction, both located within Arizona State University’s flagship campus located in Tempe, AZ. His research focuses on modular design and construction techniques, sustainability of the built environment and more specifically, Building Information Modeling (BIM) workflows for enhanced quality control and labor time utilization for coordinated MEP and specialty trade equipment, from design-to-install, in retrofit environments. Before joining Wentworth, Dr. Cribbs served as a Principal at Green Ideas Building Science Consultants, based in Phoenix where he regularly engaged in BIM workflows for design/constructability/operations analysis, reporting and review with the full spectrum of project stakeholders. He has also taught both undergraduate and graduate level courses in design, construction management and Building Information Modeling at Arizona State University and the Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture (Taliesin West). Outside of the classroom, he is engaged with the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC), Massachusetts Chapter’s, Virtual Design and Construction Group. Dr. Cribbs has presented on both the national and international stages discussing topics related to modular and offsite construction techniques, BIM and other data-centric design/construction workflows, pedagogical models for training the future of the construction industry and research specific findings that are scalable to the industry at large. He is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professional (AP) in the Building Design and Construction (BD+C), Interior Design and Construction (ID+C) and Operations and Maintenance (O+M) specialties. Additionally, he holds an accreditation with the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI), as a Construction Documents Technologist (CDT).

Dr.Biao HU is currently an Assistant Professor at the College of Civil and Transportation Engineering, Shenzhen University, P.R. China. He obtained his Ph.D. from the City University of Hong Kongin 2017. His main research focuses on composite materials & structures, structural retrofitting, and sustainable construction materials. He has published some40 technical papers in international journals and conference proceedings (including 30 SCI papers), and these worksreceived more than 500 citations recorded in Google Scholar. He is the principal investigator of 4 research projects and the co-investigator of more than 10 research projects. He serves as the editorial board member of several journals (Journal of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering,Building Technology Research and Construction Progress) and the guest editor of a SCI journal (Polymers). He is a regular reviewer of more than 30 peer-reviewed international SCI journals. He received the Moisseiff Award from the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) in 2018.

She finished her Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from the University of Toronto in 2011. After graduation, I got a very good job offer from a company in Berkley, California and I moved to the USA. I worked in several different renewable energy companies in the bay area and after renovating my own house, I started my own construction company. Working at construction, being a mechanical engineer, and starting my MBA at UCLA, brought me an interesting idea to work on. Jerry Mauri is a PhD student at Northeast Forestry University in Harbin, China at the College of Forestry Economics and Management with a focus on natural resource accounting. Master's degree in financial accounting at the Klabat University, North Minahasa, Indonesia with the thesis comparison and influence of asset utilization and liquidity to profitability. Professional experience in accounting for 20 years which includes bookkeeping, reporting, financial analysis, controlling and auditing. In 2016 it became one of the best treasurers of public and private high schools in Indonesia in handling online reports on the use of school operational assistance funds. Due to concerns for nature and the environment, he is thinking of applying an accounting system to forests and natural resources. The focus of research is on natural resource accounting, forestry accounting, and social monetary valuation. Since 2018 he has been the founder and director of the Indonesian Resources and Development Institute (IRDI).

Dr. Eil Kwon is currently a professor of Transportation Engineering at the Department of Civil Engineering, University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD), USA. He has received his MS and Ph.D. degrees in transportation engineering from the University of Minnesota, Twin Ciites. Prior to joining UMD, Dr. Kwon had worked as the Traffic Research Director for the Minnesota State Department of Transportation, USA. Dr. Kwon has over 35 years of research and development experience in the areas of intelligent transportation systems. His focus areas include adaptive ramp metering/signal control, variable speed limit control, bottleneck identification and prioritization, emergence evacuation strategies in a large network, and modeling the operational resilience of freeway corridors. In particular, the ramp metering algorithm developed by his group at UMD is currently in operation at the metro freeway network in Minnesota.

Zhaoming Yang focuses on the research of Oil & Gas transportation and storage for 7 years, especially on the areas of system resilience, multiphase flow and separation technology. He received bachelor and master degrees in China University of Petroleum (East China), and does Ph.D. research in City University of Hong Kong and China University of Petroleum (Beijing). Now he is in Aalborg University, Risk, Resilience, Safety, and Sustainability of Systems Research Group. Feng Wang is a research fellow at the Foshan (Southern China) Institute for New Materials. In the period 2017-2020, he developed his Ph.D. research under the project of Towards Design of Super-Low Ice Adhesion Surfaces within the Department of Structural Engineering at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), where he developed dynamic anti-icing surfaces for mitigating icing problem.In the period 2020-2022, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow under the project of Dual-Functional Anti-Gas Hydrate Surfacesat NTNU. He has been a visiting scholar at Shanghai University of Science and Technology and China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) during 2019-2022. His current focus is on discovering nanomechanics at the surface/interface and developing novel 3D printing technology for the ceramic industry.

Magda Posani is a Research Assistant at the Chair of Sustainability of ETH Zürich. In the period 2017 - 2021, she developed her Ph.D. research under the Doctoral program for Eco-Constructions and Rehabilitation, in Civil Engineering. The doctoral research concerns the use of thermal mortars to retrofit historic walls, considering the feasibility, efficacy, and compatibility of different solutions. The doctoral research was developed through a collaboration between the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP) and the National Laboratory for Civil engineering of Lisbon (LNEC). In addition, the Ph.D. program included a period of research at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). She is part of the International Union of Laboratories and Experts in Construction Materials, Systems and Structures (RILEM), and she is the European representative of RILEM Youth Council. She is currently investigating the use of bio-based materials for climate-neutral buildings, at ETH.

Dr. Siqi Lin is currently a professor at the Faculty of Architecture, Civil and Transportation Engineering of Beijing University of Technology, China. My research focuses on concrete technology, cementitious-based composites, alternative binder development, fiber-reinforced concrete for precast applications, the behaviour of concrete exposed to elevated temperatures, and recycling and reuse of construction and demolition waste. My dissertation topic was "Study of the cementitious concrete spalling due to high temperature" obtained in February 2021. I am part of the research team of two projects researching the industrial application of recycled concrete aggregates and alternative supplementary cementitious materials as a partial replacement of natural aggregates and cement in the production of new concrete. Furthermore, I am involved in experimental work focused on alternative supplementary cementitious materials, development of concrete for low radioactive waste storage, fresh concrete properties evaluation by rheometer and viscometer, utilisation of eco-friendly basalt micro-fibres and basalt composites as a replacement of steel and synthetic fibres in concrete production and testing of standard and new types of admixtures, especially air-entraining agents. Furthermore, my focus is on materials based on various chemical reactions, such as alkali-activated materials, of iron-based binders. I have established and lead the research group DeTeA “Building Materials: design-testing-application” at UiT since 2022.

Farhaoui Mohamed has completed his PhD in Sciences at the age of 40 years from My Ismail University, Meknes, Morocco. With more than 22 years of experience, he is the head of the water production department at the National Office of Electricity and Drinking Water in Morocco. He has published more than 15 papers in reputed journals and served as an editorial board member of reputed journals worldwide editorial board member of reputed journals all over the world. He is also a visiting lecturer for many engineering schools and universities. Dr. Ahmed Eltwati is an Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering at Bright Star University in Brega, Libya. He obtained his undergraduate degree in civil engineering. (2007) from the University of Benghazi in Libya. Dr. Eltwati received his Master's and Ph.D. degrees in highway and transportation engineering from the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) in 2010 and 2014, respectively. Giuseppe Tomasello is Research Assistant in Geotechnical Engineering at the University Mediterranea of Reggio Calabria, Department of Civil, Energy, Environmental and Material Engineering (DICEAM). He received his Ph.D. in Civil, Environmental and Safety Engineering at the University of Messina on December 2021. His main research activity is in the field of geotechnical earthquake engineering with particular reference to the undrained cyclic response of problematic soils such as crushable sands and transitional soils (i.e. non-plastic silty sands). He co-authored several scientific publications on good standing international journals on the following topics: liquefaction behaviour of intermediate soils and crushable sands under both monotonic and cyclic loading conditions, cyclic pore water pressure generation models of soils for seismic analyses, validation of energy based approaches to predict liquefaction resistance of clean sands. He has been actively involved in a research cooperation with the Ruhr-Universität of Bochum. In 2017-2021, he was member of the working group involved in a national research and development project. Giuseppe Tomasello is a registred professional civil engineer from 2017 and has been involved as consultant on important engineering projects during a postgraduate internship at Studio Geotecnico Italiano (SGI) in Milan.

Dr. Alfredo Serpell is Professor in the School of Engineering at the Universidad del Desarrollo, Chile. He graduated as Civil Engineerfrom the Catholic University of Chileanda M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Architectural and Civil Engineering respectively at the University of Texas at Austin, USA.He joined Catholic University of Chile and was an academicfor more than 36 years doing research and teaching on Construction Management. He isthe author of two books published in Spanish by AlfaOmega: Project Planning and Control, and Operations Management in Construction.He founded a consulting company in 1997 which specializes in construction claims, productivity and quality improvement, and management areas in general. He is member of several editorial boards of project and construction management journals.

Jonathan Melchiorre is a Ph.D. student in Artificial Intelligence at Polytechnic University of Turin (Italy), Department of Ingegneria Strutturale, Edile e Geotecnica (DISEG). He received his master's degree in civil engineering from the Polytechnic University of Turin. His master's degree thesis was developed at Princeton University in collaboration with Università degli Studi Federico II di Napoli. It is regarding the size and shape optimization of arch structure by means of evolutionary algorithm. Grigoris Zarotiadis was born on the 23rd of February 1972 in Thessaloniki. He studied economics in Johannes Kepler University of Linz – Austria. During his PhD he spent a year in UMIST (University of Manchester – Institute for Science and Technology). Currently, he serves as a Full Professor in the School of Economic and he is the Dean of the Faculty of Economic and Political Sciences in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh).
