Dr Qiao joined the School of Chemical Engineering of the University of Adelaide (UoA) in March 2012 as a professor (the inaugural Chair of Nanotechnology). He is the founding Director of Centre for Materials in Energy and Catalysis (CMEC). His research expertise is in nanomaterials for new energy technologies (electrocatalysis, photocatalysis, batteries, fuel cell). He has co-authored more than 446 papers in refereed journals, including Nature, Nature Energy, Nature Chemistry, Nature Materials, Nature Catalysis, Nature Communications, Science Advances, Angew Chem Int Ed, J. Am. Chem. Soc, Advanced Materials (over 84,500 citations, h-index: 152). He has filed five patents on novel nanomaterials and attracted more than 15 million dollars in research grants from industrial partners and Australian Research Council (ARC). In recognition of his achievements in research, he was honoured with inaugural UoA Vice-Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Research (2019), an Australian Star of Research (Lifetime Achievers Leaderboard, by "The Australian" 2019, 2020), prestigious ARC Australian Laureate Fellow (2017), ExxonMobil Award (2016), ARC Discovery Outstanding Researcher Award (DORA, 2013), Emerging Researcher Award (2013, ENFL Division of the American Chemical Society) and UQ Foundation Research Excellence Award (2008). He is an Associate Editor of Journal of Materials Chemistry A, a Fellow of Institution of Chemical Engineers (FIChemE), Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC) and Royal Australian Chemical Institute (FRACI). Dr Qiao is a Thomson Reuters/Clarivate Analytics Highly Cited Researcher in two categories of Chemistry and Materials Science.

Professor Alexander Seifalian CEOand Professor Nanotechnology & Regenerative Medicine Nanotechnology & Regenerative Medicine Commercialisation Centre (Ltd) London BioScience Innovation Centre, London, United Kingdom Alexander Seifalian, Professor of Nanotechnology and Regenerative Medicine worked at the Royal Free Hospital and University College London for over 26 years, during this time he spent a year at Harvard Medical School looking at caused of cardiovascular diseases and a year at Johns Hopkins Medical School looking at the treatment of liver cancer. He published more than 647 peer-reviewed research papers and registered 14 UK and International patents. On editorial boards of 41 journals. He supervised 121 PhD students, all successfully completed. He is currently CEO of NanoRegMed Ltd, working on the commercialisation of his research. During his career, Prof Seifalian has led and managed many large projects with successful outcomes in terms of commercialisation and translation to patients. In 2007 he was awarded the top prize in the field for the development of nanomaterials and technologies for cardiovascular implants by Medical Future Innovation, and in 2009 he received a Business Innovation Award from UK Trade & Investment (UKTI). He was the European Life Science Awards’ Winner of Most Innovative New Product 2012 for the “synthetic trachea”. Prof Seifalian won the Nanosmat Prize in 2013 and in 2016 he received the Distinguish Research Award in recognition of his outstanding work in regenerative medicine from Heals Healthy Life Extension Society. His achievements include the development of the world first synthetic trachea, lacrimal drainage conduit, and vascular bypass graft using nanocomposite materials, bioactive molecules and stem cell technology. Currently, he is working on the development and commercialisation of human organs using graphene-based nanocomposite materials and stem cells technology. Recently he has commercialised a novel functionalised graphene oxide for medical and other industrial applications and synthetic graphene-based nanocomposite materials for surgical and medical devices application. He is currently working on the development of facial organs, heart valves and tendons.

Dr. Katsumi Kaneko studied chemistry at Yokohama National University in Japan and molecular science at master program of University of Tokyo. Dr of Science was awarded by Univ. of Tokyo in 1978. He had been professor of physical chemistry, Chiba University until March in 2010. He moved to Shinshu University in 2010 as distinguished professor. He published more than 500 papers on international journals. Chemical Society of Japan and American Carbon Society awarded him in 1999 and in 2007(Charles Petinos Award), respectively. He is fellow of Royal Society of Chemistry, International Adsorption Society, and Chemical Society of Japan.

Prof. Maria Carmen ASENSIO is currently a Professor at Materials Science Institute of Madrid (ICMM) of the Spanish Scientific Research Council (CSIC) a at the CSIC Research Associated Unit : MATINÉE, created between the Institute of Materials Science (ICMUV) of the Valencia Universit and the ICM. Maria C. Asensio commenced her academic career in Argentina. Then she held a Senior Lecturer in Physics at the Autonomous University of Madrid, followed by research positions at the University of Warwick in England and the Fritz Haber Institute of the Max-Planck in Berlin, Germany. In 2004, she was elected Scientific Director of the IUVSTA’ International Union for Vacuum Science, Technique and Applications’ until 2007. Presently she has been chair of the IUVSTA Surface Science Division since 2016 to date. She has been appointed and is acting as an Editorial Member of several reputed scientific journals. Lately, she has been selected by the European Research Council as a Panel Member of the ERC for the Advanced Grant calls (2018-2019 and 2019-2020) of the Condensed Matter Physics Panel. Asensio’s research comprises studying the application of wide-ranged in-house and Synchrotron Radiation Based techniques devoted to the spectroscopic characterization of ground-breaking materials in the area of Solid-State Physics. She focuses on the structural and electronic properties of surfaces, interfaces, and complex materials. She is a specialist in angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARUPS), synchrotron radiation Photoemission (SR-PES), and X-Ray absorption (XAS), among other conventional characterization materials science techniques. She mainly focused on determining the Fermi surface topology and electronic band structure of interfaces and massive materials, which frequently present electronic instabilities due to low dimensional effects. She has recently conceived and realized an innovative chemical and electronic imaging spectroscopic technique combining angle-resolved photoemission and nano- and microscopy, named “nanoARPES.”. She has more than 261 international journals, 1 book chapter, and more than 100 invited lectures. – Factor H: 47 and i10-index: 159, with more than 10800 citations, (Google scholar).

Professor Guoxiu Wang is the Director of the Centre for Clean Energy Technology and a Distinguished Professor (2012-Present) in the School of Mathematical & Physical Sciences, Faculty of Science, at University of Technology Sydney (UTS), Australia. Professor Wang is an expert in materials chemistry, electrochemistry, energy storage and conversion, and battery technologies. His research interests include lithium-ion batteries, lithium-air batteries, sodium-ion batteries, lithium-sulfur batteries, supercapacitors, hydrogen storage materials, fuel-cells, graphene and MXenes. He has won a large number of external research grants. He has published over 600 refereed journal papers, including Nature Catalysis, Nature Communications, Nature Nanotechnology, J. Am. Chem. Soc, Angew Chem Int Ed, Advanced Materials, Science Advances, Nano Letters, Energy & Environmental Science, and delivered 100 invited talks worldwide. Wang's publications have attracted over 40000/50000 citations with an H-index of 110/124 (Web of Science/Google Scholar), 44 Highly Cited papers in Field. He has received many awards and recognitions for his research accomplishments, some of which include: 2017 Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC); 2018 Fellow of International Society of Electrochemistry (ISE); 2020 Fellow of European Academy of Sciences. Web of Science Clarivate Analytics 2018 Highly Cited Researcher (Chemistry, Materials Science), 2019-2020 (Materials Science). Currently, he serves as an editorial board member for Scientific Reports (Nature Publishing Group) and Energy Storage Materials (Elsevier), and an Associate Editor for Electrochemical Energy Reviews(Springer).

Dr. Mineo Hiramatsu received his Ph.D. from Nagoya University, Japan in 1987, and thereafter started his professional career as research associate of Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Meijo University, Japan. He is a Full Professor of Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Meijo University since 2006. His main fields of research are plasma diagnostics and plasma processing for the synthesis of thin films and nanostructured materials. He served as chairman and member of organizing and scientific committees of international conferences on plasma chemistry and plasma processing. Author of more than 150 scientific papers and patents on plasma processes for materials science. He was awarded the Japan Society of Applied Physics Fellow in 2017.

Dr Denis Koltsov Director and Principal Consultant. Director of BREC Solutions Limited Chairman of ISO TC229 (Nanotechnologies) Member of Graphene Stakeholders Association Advisory Board Member of The Nanotechnology World Network Advisory Board. He worked as a research associate in Cambridge Nanoscience Centre before taking up lecturing position at Lancaster University in 2005 where he led nanotechnology work and outreach services till 2009. Dr Denis Koltsov is now running his own nanotechnology consulting practice (BREC Solutions limited) that focuses on technical, regulatory and standardisation issues nanotechnology innovation. Dr Koltsov is the author of several patents, numerous publications and confidential reports to stakeholders. He is a recognised authority in nanotechnology standardisation, innovation and current market, regulatory and policy trends. Dr Koltsov is an expert representing industry on BSI, ISO, IEC and CEN expert committees. Dr Koltsov developed and published a number of international nanotechnology standards and currently holds the chairman position for the ISO TC229 (Nanotechnologies). He has conducted a number of industry-led consultations in nanotechnology sector and reported to relevant regulatory authorities. Dr Koltsov is a board member on large EU projects such as NanoDefine, NanoReg2, Gracious and international organisations such as National Graphene Association. He advises small startups as well as multinationals, international organisations and governments.

Paulo C. DE MORAIS, PhD, was full Professor of Physics at the University of Brasilia (UnB) – Brazil up to 2013, Appointed as UnB’s Emeritus Professor (2014), Appointed as Guest Professor of Huazhong University of Science and Technology– China (2011), Visiting Professor at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) – China (2012-2015), Appointed as Distinguished Professor at Anhui University (AHU) – China (2016-2019), Appointed as Full Professor at Catholic University of Brasília (UCB) – Brazil (2018), Appointed as CNPq-1A Research Fellowship since 2010, 2007 Master Research Prize from UnB, 2008-member of the European ERA NET Nanoscience Committee, Member of the IEEE-Magnetic Society Technical Committee, Senior Member of the IEEE Society, 2012 China’s 1000 Foreign Expert Recipient, and 2012 Academic Excellence Award from Brazilian Professor’s Union. He held two-years (1987-1988) post-doc position with Bell Communications Research – New Jersey, USA and received his Doctoral degree in Solid State Physics (1986) from the Federal University of Minas Gerais – Brazil. He graduated in both Chemistry (1976) and Physics (1977) at UnB.ProfessorMorais is member of the Brazilian Physical Society and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers – IEEE. He has served as referee for more than 50 technical journals, takes part of the Editorial Board of more than 15 technical journals and has conducted research on nanomaterials for over 40 years. He has delivered more than 150 Invited Talks all over the World. He is known for his research in preparation, characterization and applications of nanosized materials (magnetic fluid, magnetoliposome, magnetic nanoemulsion, magnetic nanocapsule, magnetic nanofilm, magnetic nanocomposite, nanosized semiconductors, polymeric dots, carbon dots, and graphene quantum dots). With nearly 500 published papers in peer reviewed journals and 15 patents, he has appeared in recent World ranking of top 1% scientists, such as 2020-Stanford and 2022-Research.com.

N.V. Kamanina has current interest in the areas of investigations on inorganic soft materials of the UV and IR range, coatings, organic conjugated materials, liquid crystals, laser-matter interaction, fullerenes and biological objects. She has an experience in nanoparticles doping process of organics, in recording of amplitude-phase thin gratings in thin films as well as in developing of LC cells and spatial light modulators; she has an experience in optical limiting

Dr. Nikhil Marriwala(B-Tech., M-Tech. and PhD in Engineering & Technology)is working as AssistantProfessor and Head of the Department Electronics and Communication Engineering Department, University Institute of Engineering and Technology, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. He did his PhD. from National Institute of Technology (NIT), Kurukshetra in the department of Electronics and Communication Engineering. He did his post-graduation(M-Tech) in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Institute of Advanced Studies in Education (IASE) University, and did his B-Tech in Electronics and Instrumentation from MMEC, Mullana, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. He has more than 19.5 years of experience teaching graduate and postgraduate students. More than 31 students have completed their M-Tech dissertation under his guidance. Salah M.S. Al-Mufti is currently a researcher at Polymer & Composite Materials Laboratory, Department of Petroleum Studies, A.M.U., India. He worked on increasing the efficiency of oil and gas recovery for the Akribia Lab Company, Saint Petersburg, Russia (2015-2017). His main research fields are graphene and its derivatives (graphene oxide, reduced graphene oxide, and etc.), expanded graphite, conductive nano-composites, and fuel cell bipolar plates. He published several scientific papers, and book chapters. Moreover, he is a reviewer in Springer indexed journals. Nowadays, Salah M.S. is working on the design and development of techniques for high production of expanded graphite and graphene along with cost reduction.

Stefania Sabella got her degree in Medicinal Chemistry at the University of Pavia, Italy, in 2002. In 2005, she became Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) at the Dipartimento di Scienze del Farmaco, University of Pavia, working on pharmaceutical analysis of amyloidogenic proteins and their interactions with drugs (with Prof. E. De Lorenzi and Prof. V. Bellotti). During the Ph.D education, under the Bilateral and Multilateral Cooperation project “Technological Innovation and Transfer of Technology” financially supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affair (Italy), she won a project as young researcher in cooperation with TU-Wien (Austria). Hence, in 2004, she moved as External Researcher at TU-Wien, Austria, with Prof. B. Lendl. There, she developed an analytical method for the selective separation and detection of abeta amyloids by FTIR and capillary electrophoresis. In 2006, she moved as a post-doc in the Department of Analytical Chemistry at the National Nanotechnology Laboratory-CNR, Lecce, Italy with Prof. R. Cingolani (2006-7). There she developed a technique to produce smart polymeric microchips for efficient and fast sensing of biomolecules for POC diagnostics. In 2008, she started her career as Associate Researcher at National Nanotechnology Laboratory-CNR, Lecce, Italy, and after, in 2009 (2009-2015) she moved at the Center for Biomolecular Nanotechnologies of Italian Institute of Technology (CBN-IIT, Lecce, Italy as Team Leader. There, she worked on physical and chemical characterization of the interactions between nanoparticles and living systems. Since 2015 (2015-current), she is appointed as Technologist and Senior Researcher at Italian Institute of Technology, Genova, Italy. In 2015, she founded the Nanoregulatory Group within the D3-Pharma Chemistry Department. The mission of the group is highly interdisciplinary, requiring a strong integration of scientific knowledge of the nanomaterials to regulatory understanding. Each research activity focuses on toxicology assessments linking the physicochemical properties and functionality of emerging key enabling technologies (including manufactured nanomaterials) to specific hazard outcomes.

Dr. Lucia Gemma Delogu is currently leading the ImmuneNano-lab (www.delogulab.eu). at the University of Padua, Italy. Dr. Lucia Gemma Delogu has a scientitific background related to nanotechnology, immunology and applied biochemistry. She served the University of Sassari, Italy, as Assistant Professor of Biochemistry (2012-2017). She has worked at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles (2007-2009). Dr. Delogu has been appointed as Senior Visiting Professor under the “Program Excellence in Science” at Technische Universitat Dresden, Germany (2016, 2017). In 2011, she was selected as one of the “200 Best Young Talents of Italy” from the Italian Ministry of Youth (Rome, Italy). She has received several awards, including the Marie S. Curie Individual Fellow under Horizon 2020 by the European Commission (Prof. Xinliang. Feng lab), the “Medicine, Biology e Nanotechnology Award” in 2012 from the Association of GianFranco Del Prete and the “Bedside to bench & Back Lecture Series Achievement Award” from the National Institute of Health, Bethesda, USA (2013). She served the European Commission as an invited expert for different review panels of FP7 and Horizon 2020. She has been granted by the University of Padua for "STARS", a highly competitive call, with a project on MXenes material biomedical applications. She has been the scientific coordinator of two interdisciplinary European Projects (G-IMMUNOMICS and CARBO-IMMAP) on nanomedicine and nanosafety involving ten leading Institutions in EU and extra EU Countries including China, USA and Qatar. She is head of the biology section for the project funded by the European Space Agency, Whiskies, on wound healing, nanomaterials, and immune cell interaction for applications on the hearth and in Space.

Dr. Guodong (David) Zhan is currently a Science Specialist and the Team Leader of Drilling Technology Team at the Exploration & Petroleum Engineering Center - Advanced Research Center, Saudi Aramco. Dr. Zhan is a world-renowned materials scientist and expert in advanced drilling tools/technology. He has nearly 30 years of experience in industrial R&D and managerial positions, including positions as Chief Engineer and R&D Manager at top oil/gas and semiconductor global companies such as Schlumberger and Applied Materials. Additionally Dr. Zhan has held academic positions at the University of London and the University of Colorado at Boulder, and staff scientist positions at the Japan National Institute for Materials Science and Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, Chinese Academy of Science. Dr. Zhan is an active member of the Society of Petroleum Engineer (SPE), where he serves on several conferences as co-chair and technical committee member. He received many prestigious academic and industrial awards such as E&P Hart Energy Award, World Oil Award and IoT World Award. Dr. Zhan is also serving as an editorial board member and reviewer for a number of international scientific journals. Dr. Zhan has published in more than 200 peer-reviewed journals and technical publications such as Nature Materials and holds more than 120 filed/granted US patents with citations of 5,000+ and an H- index of 37.

Prof. Dr. Delia Teresa Sponza is currently working as a professor at Dokuz Eylül University, Department of Environmental Engineering. Scientific study topics are; Environmental engineering microbiology, Environmental engineering ecology, Treatment of fluidized bed and activated sludge systems, Nutrient removal, Activated sludge microbiology, Environmental health, Industrial toxicity and toxicity studies, The effect of heavy metals on microorganisms, Treatment of toxic compounds by anaerobic / aerobic sequential processes, Anaerobic treatment of organic chemicals that cause industrial toxicity and wastewater containing them, Anaerobic treatability of wastewater containing dyes, Treatment of antibiotics with anaerobic and aerobic sequential systems, Anaerobic and aerobic treatment of domestic organic wastes with different industrial treatment sludges, Treatment of polyaromatic compounds with bio-surfactants in anaerobic and aerobic environments, Treatment of petrochemical, Textile and olive processing industry wastewater by sonication, Treatment of olive processing industry wastewater with nanoparticles and the toxicity of nanoparticles. She has many international publications.

Asif Shahzad received his Ph.D. in Energy and Environmental Engineering from Kyungpook National University, Korea in 2020. Currently, he is working with Prof. Tapati Sarkar as a SOEB Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Solid State Physics Divison, Material Science and Engineering Department, Angstrom laboratories, Uppsala. He has worked on 2D MXene nanomaterials synthesis and their applications in Enverional pollutant remediation.

Rami Ahmad El-Nabulsi holds a PhD in Particle Physics, Mathematical Physics and Modeling from Provence University (currently Aix-Marseille University), France and a diploma of advanced studies in Plasma Physics and Radiation Astrophysics from the same institution. He worked with different worldwide research departments in UK, South Korea, China, Greece, Thailand, India, etc. and he is currently affiliated to Chiang Mai University, Thailand. He is the author of more than 315 peer-reviewed papers in peer-refereed reputed journals and a reviewer for more than 125 scientific journals. His research ranges from applied mathematics to theoretical physics including nonlinear dynamical systems, space and astrophysics, general relativity, geometrical and algebraic physics, physics and chemistry of solids, plasma MHD, neutronics and nuclear reactors, superconductivity, and magnetic materials among others.
