Professor Dr. hab. Anna Maria Wasilewska is a highly accomplished medical professional specializing in Pediatric Nephrology. Currently based at the Medical University of Bialystok in Poland, she serves as the Head of the Pediatric Nephrology Department. Prof. Wasilewska obtained her Medical Doctor (MD) degree from the Medical University of Bialystok in 1992, followed by a specialization in Pediatrics and a Doctorate in Philosophy (PhD) in 1997. Over the years, she has achieved numerous qualifications and titles, including becoming an Associate Professor in 2007 and a full Professor of Medicine in 2011. Prof. Wasilewska's dedication to her field is evident through her continuous pursuit of knowledge, as reflected in her various scientific internships in renowned institutions worldwide, such as Charite Hospital in Berlin, Great Ormond Hospital in London, and UCLA in Los Angeles. She has also held important positions within the medical community, such as being the Chairman of the Podlasie Division of the Polish Pediatric Association since 2019. Prof. Wasilewska has been actively involved in research, serving as the Principal Coordinator and Country Coordinator for several clinical studies. Her work has been supported by sources of funding such as the Norwegian Financial Mechanism.
