Zhu Han received the B.S. degree in electronic engineering from Tsinghua University, in 1997, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park, in 1999 and 2003, respectively. From 2000 to 2002, he was an R&D Engineer of JDSU, Germantown, Maryland. From 2003 to 2006, he was a Research Associate at the University of Maryland. From 2006 to 2008, he was an assistant professor in Boise State University, Idaho. Currently, he is a John and Rebecca Moores Professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering Department as well as Computer Science Department at University of Houston, Texas. His research interests include security, wireless resource allocation and management, wireless communication and networking, game theory, and wireless multimedia. Dr. Han is an NSF CAREER award recipient 2010. Dr. Han has several IEEE conference best paper awards, and winner of 2011 IEEE Fred W. Ellersick Prize, 2015 EURASIP Best Paper Award for the Journal on Advances in Signal Processing and 2016 IEEE Leonard G. Abraham Prize in the field of Communication Systems (Best Paper Award for IEEE Journal on Selected Areas on Communications). Dr. Han is the winner 2021 IEEE Kiyo Tomiyasu Award. He has been IEEE fellow since 2014, AAAS fellow since 2020 and IEEE Distinguished Lecturer from 2015 to 2018. Dr. Han is 1% highly cited researcher according to Web of Science since 2017.

Yingxu Wang is professor of cognitive informatics, brain science, software science, and denotational mathematics. He is the founding President of International Institute of Cognitive Informatics and Cognitive Computing (ICIC). He is a Fellow of ICIC, a Fellow of WIF (UK), a P.Eng. of Canada, and a Senior Member of IEEE and ACM. He has been visiting professor (on sabbatical leaves) at Oxford University (1995), Stanford University (2008 | 2016), UC Berkeley (2008), and MIT (2012), respectively. He has been a full professor since 1994. He is the founder and steering committee chair of the annual IEEE International Conference on Cognitive Informatics and Cognitive Computing (ICCI*CC) since 2002. He is founding Editor-in-Chiefs of International Journal of Cognitive Informatics & Natural Intelligence; International Journal of Software Science & Computational Intelligence; Journal of Advanced Mathematics & Applications; and Journal of Mathematical & Computational Methods, as well as Associate Editor of IEEE Trans. on SMC - Systems. He has served as chair or co-chair of 19 IEEE or other int’l conferences and a member of IEEE Selection Committee for Senior Members in 2011.

Matthias Scheutz received a PhD degree in philosophy from the University of Vienna and a joint Ph.D. in cognitive science and computer science from Indiana University. He is the Karol Family Applied Technology Professor of computer and cognitive science in the Department of Computer Science at Tufts University in the School of Engineering and a AAAI Fellow. He has over 400 peer-reviewed publications in artificial intelligence, agent-based computing, natural language understanding, cognitive modeling, robotics, and human-robot interaction. His current research focuses on complex ethical cognitive robots with natural language interaction, problem-solving, and instruction-based learning capabilities in open worlds.

Guofan Shao is a professor of the Department of Forestry and Natural Resources (FNR) at Purdue University. Dr. Shao received his PhD in ecology from Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1989, received his post-doctoral education from the Department of Environmental Sciences, University of Virginia between 1991 and 1994, and received professional trainings in remote sensing and GIS technologies from world-geospatial leaders, such as ESRI and ERDAS, in the 1980s-2000s. Dr. Shao regularly teaches Remote Sensing Analysis and Applications (FNR 55800), Fundamental Remote Sensing (FNR 35700), and Forest Resources Practicum (FNR 37010). He participates in teaching Purdue ECE undergraduate courses as part of the vertical integrated projects. He is among Purdue CoA faculty members who have initiated AGR 33300: Data Science for Agriculture. Dr. Shao’s overall research interest is digital forestry, which involves remote sensing, geographic information systems (GIS), forest modeling, and forestry decision-support systems (DSS). His remote sensing research is to advance the use of satellite remote sensing, photogrammetry, Lidar, and drone remote sensing for sustainable forest management. Dr. Shao is especially interested in applying state-of-the-art algorithms for accurate image classification in landscape mapping and analysis. His research group has conducted a variety of remote sensing experiments in the agriculture-dominated landscapes in Indiana. Dr. Shao has identified uncertainties commonly hidden in classification accuracy assessment of remotely sensed imagery, and proposed a stricter standard of accuracy assessment that is badly needed in the era of artificial intelligence and popular remote sensing. Dr. Shao has published nearly two hundred scholarly works, including 160 journal papers, six books, and 24 book chapters.

Weidong Zhu is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and the founder and director of its Dynamic Systems and Vibrations Laboratory and Laser Vibrometry and Optical Measurement Laboratory. He received his double major BS degree in Mechanical Engineering and Computational Science from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 1986, and his MS and PhD degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Arizona State University and the University of California at Berkeley in 1988 and 1994, respectively. He is a recipient of the 2004 National Science Foundation CAREER Award. He has been an ASME Fellow since 2010, and has served as an Associate Editor of the ASME Journal of Vibration and Acoustics and the ASME Journal of Dynamic Systems, Measurement, and Control, and as a Subject Editor of the Journal of Sound and Vibration and Nonlinear Dynamics. His research spans the fields of dynamics, vibration, control, structural health monitoring, renewable energy, metamaterials, and involves analytical development, numerical simulation, experimental validation, and industrial application. He has published 311 SCI-indexed journal papers in these areas and has eight issued U.S. patents. He received 14 best paper awards from the ASME and Society of Experimental Mechanics. He is a recipient of the 2020 University System of Maryland Board of Regents Faculty Award for Excellence in Research.

Laurence Devillers carry out my research at LIMSI in the Spoken Language Processing group, led by Jean-Luc Gauvain. My research activities first focused on speech recognition, then on higher levels of understanding and dialogue, finally my work took a new direction since 2001, when I was seconded to the CNRS for two years, on the representation and detection of emotional states in human-human interactions with the aim of applying the models obtained to human-machine interaction systems. My research activities are therefore at the crossroads of several fields: artificial intelligence, pattern recognition but also linguistics and psychology and cognitive sciences.

Guoming George Zhu is also conducting research in areas of integrated identification and control of automotive systems, optimal control of hybrid powertrain systems, combustion mode transition control, and development of linear parameter-varying gain-scheduling control scheme with application to aerospace vibration control problems. Active control of the automotive engine and its subsystems is an essential foundation needed to make new engine technologies possible. Research at MSU ranges from new control concept development to validation and demonstration.

Debao Zhou is a professor in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering (MIE) at the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD). He joined UMD as a tenure-track assistant professor in 2009 and was promoted to associate professor in 2014 and full professor in 2018. He earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Nanyang Technological University Singapore researching in bio-robotics. He got both his Master and Bachelor of Engineering degrees from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China. Dr. Zhou’s research interests include conformable artificial skin sensors, smart materials, vision systems, modeling and simulation of surgical processes, robotics, system dynamics, control and quantum cascade laser system. He proposed and developed the Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering (MSME) program in 2015 and was the first Director of Graduate Study of this program. Dr. Zhou teaches in the areas of signal processing, kinematics, control, robotics, machine vision and pattern recognition.

Haibin Zhu is a Full Professor and the Coordinator of the Computer Science Program, the Founding Director of the Collaborative Systems Laboratory, a member of the University Budget Plan committee, Arts and Science Executive Committee, Nipissing University, Canada. He is also an affiliate full professor of Concordia Univ. and an adjunct professor of Laurentian Univ., Canada. He has accomplished (published or in press) over 240+ research works including 40+ IEEE Transactions articles, six books, five book chapters, four journal issues, and four conference proceedings. He is a fellow of I2CICC (International Institute of Cognitive Informatics and Cognitive Computing), a senior member of ACM and IEEE, a full member of Sigma Xi, and a life member of CAST-USA (Chinese Association of Science and Technology, USA).He is Vice President, Systems Science and Engineering (SSE) (2023-), member-at-large of the Board of Governors (2022-), and a co-chair (2014-) of the technical committee of Distributed Intelligent Systems of IEEE Systems, Man and Cybernetics (SMC) Society (SMCS), Associate Editor (AE) of IEEE Transactions on SMC: Systems (2018-), IEEE Transactions on Computational Social Systems(2018-), Frontiers of Computer Science (2021-), and IEEE Canada Review (2017-). He was Editor-in-Chief of IEEE SMC Magazine (2022), AE of IEEE SMC Magazine (2018-2021), Associate Vice President (AVP), SSE (2021), IEEE SMCS, Program (Co-)Chair for many international conferences, and PC member for 130+ academic conferences.

Habib obtained his Doctor of Engineering Sciences(DES) in Intelligent and Autonomous Robotics from the University of Tsukuba, Japan. Professor Habib is specialized in the area of Robotics and Mechatronics. He was selected as a research scientist at RIKEN, Japan, Senior researcher at RISO-Laboratories, Japan, and visiting researcher at EPFL, Switzerland. He was a visiting Expert under Asian Development Bank (ADB) serving Malaysian industries, Associate Professor at UTM, Malaysia, and a Senior Manager at MCRIA, Malaysia. He was a leader senior research scientist with GMD-Japan leading the Tele-cooperation research group. Associate Professor with Monash University (Australia/Malaysia)to develop and lead the Mechatronics Engineering program. He was appointed a Full Professor of Robotics and Mechatronics at Swinburne University (Australia/Malaysia). Then, he was an invited Professor at KAIST, South Korea, Resident Professor at Saga University, Japan. Since Sept. 2007, he has been a Full Professor of Robotics and Mechatronics at AUC. He was and continues to be a consultant and technical advisor to many industrial companies internationally, such as Toyota and ABB. He also worked as a research advisor with a large European research consortium focusing on new development using Robotics and Sensors for humanitarian demining. Professor Habib is editor-in-chief of two (2) international journals, regional editor of two (2) international journals, associate editor of (9) international journals, and Editorial board member of (15) International journals. He was selected as chair, program chair, co-chair, publication chair and publicity chair of many international conferences. Besides, he is a member of advisory and scientific program committees of more than 40 annual and biannual international conferences. He was Chief Guest Editor of (14) special issues at international journals and organized more than (50) workshops and special sessions at international conferences. He organized and managed three international workshops dedicated to the industry in Robotics and Automation. He collaborates internationally with different research groups associated with research centers and Universities covering: Japan, South Korea, the US, Austria, the UK, Malaysia, etc. In addition, he had more than (60) invited talks at International Conferences, Universities, and Industry. He published (21) books, more than (32) book chapters, more than (80) journal papers, and more than (232) conference papers at the international level.

Chee Pin Tan (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.Eng. (Hons.) and Ph.D. degrees from University of Leicester, Leicester, U.K., in 1998 and 2002, respectively. He is currently a Professor at the School of Engineering, Monash University Malaysia, Sunway City, Malaysia. He has authored more than 70 internationally peer-reviewed research articles with the vast majority of them in the top-tier journals, including a book on fault reconstruction. His research interests include state estimation and condition monitoring and their applications to various systems. He is currently an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics and the Journal of the Franklin Institute.

Mariofanna Milanova is a professor in the Department of Computer Science at UA Little Rock and has been a faculty member since 2001. She received a M.Sc. in Expert Systems and Artificial Intelligence and Ph.D. in Engineering and Computer Science from the Technical University, Sofia, Bulgaria. Dr. Milanova conducted post-doctoral research in visual perception at the University of Paderborn, Germany. Dr. Milanova has extensive academic experience at various academic and research organizations worldwide. Milanova is an IEEE Senior Member, Fulbright U.S. Scholar, and NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute University Ambassador. Milanova’s work is supported by NSF, NIH, DARPA, DoD, Homeland Security, NATO, Nokia Bell Lab, NJ, USA and NOKIA, Finland. She has published more than 120 publications, over 53 journal papers, 35 book chapters, and numerous conference papers. She also has two patents.

Dominique Blouin is a permanent research engineer at Telecom Paris, Institut Polytechnique de Paris in France. He obtained an MSc in physics from the University of British Columbia in Canada and a PhD in computer science from the University of South-Brittany in France. He worked in industry for several years before he joined the Lab-STICC at the University of South-Brittany in 2008. After a post doc in the system analysis and modeling group of the Hasso Plattner Institute in Germany, he joined Telecom Paris in 2016. He was the vice-chair of working group 1 on foundations for Multi-Paradigm Modeling for Cyber-Physical Systems during the European COST action IC 1404. He has been a member of the SAE AADL standardization committee since 2010. His research interests are multi-paradigm modeling, model management, automatic code generation, domain-specific languages and requirements engineering applied to cyber-physical systems development including robotics.

Adnan Fatih Kocamaz was born in the Arapgir district of Malatya in February 1979. After completing his primary, secondary and high school education in Malatya, he graduated from Gazi University Faculty of Technology Electronics Engineering in 2001. After graduation, he worked as the Business Manager of Bursa Hilteks Enterprise. He started his academic career at Trakya University in 2002. After completing his master's degree in Computer Engineering at Trakya University in 2008 and his doctorate in the same department in 2011, he started to work as an Assistant Professor in the Software Engineering Department of Kırklareli University Engineering Faculty and served as the founding department chair. In 2013, he start to work at Malatya İnönü University Computer Engineering. He received the title of associate professor in 2019. Assoc. Dr. A. Fatih Kocamaz works on indoor mobile robots, path planning algorithms for mobile robots, task sharing for multiple mobile robots, task optimizations, image-based mobile robot control and path planning algorithms. He has conducted dozens of international publications, 3 TUBITAK (Turkish Scientific and Technological Research Council), 2 BAP (Scientific Research Projects) in these fields and received a patent.He holds two more patents outside the field. BAP projects were carried out as an Industrial Organization Çalık Denim R&D Center and University-Industry Cooperation work.In the projects, infrastructure works were carried out to transform the company's in-building logistics processes into autonomous ones. In addition, another project prepared to TÜBİTAK within the scope of the Overseas Research Project was accepted. Within the scope of the project, the project named "Block Chain Based Dynamic Management System for Mobile Robots" was accepted at Japan Konan University for one year. Since October 2022, he continues her post-doctoral studies at Konan University, Department of Intelligence and Informatics. In his academic career, Kocamaz has published 38 articles in international journals and 45 papers in international conferences, conducted 12 projects, and obtained three patents. There is currently a patent application for mobile robots. He also wrote the International Book on Mobile Robots published by Springer Book and is currently writing a book on ROS (Robot Operating System) which is ready to be published in Turkish. Kocamaz graduated with 5 master's and 10 doctorate students. He is currently continuing his studies with two doctoral students.

Salisa Abdul Rahman received the B.E. and M.E. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from University of Technology Petronas, Perak, Malaysia in 2004 and 2006, respectively while Ph.D. in Optimal Energy Management Strategy for the University of Technology Sydney Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicles from University of Technology Sydney (UTS), Australia. She is currently working as a senior lecturer at University Malaysia Terengganu, Malaysia. Her research interests are in hybrid electric vehicles, innovation powertrain, simulation and modeling, energy management strategy, driving cycles, driver behaviors, fuel economy, emissions, and optimization.

Ahmad T Abdulsadda is a professor of the Department of Communication Technical Engineering at Al Furat Al awast Technical University (ATU). Dr. Abdulsadda received his PhD in computer and electrical engineering fromMichigan state university 2012, USA, Dr. Abdulsadda regularly teaches digital signal processing Analysis and Applications, Fundamental of artificial intelligent systems and computer networks, and probability and optimization. He participates in teaching artificial lateral line as part of the fish like robotic projects. His biomedical research is to advance the use of neural, fuzzy, genetic algorithms using in the deep learning and environmental monitoring, photogrammetry, Lidar, and drone remote sensing for sustainable environmental forest management.

Farah JEMILI has completed her Ph.D. in 2010, from the National School of Computer Sciences (ENSI), Tunisia. Since 2010, she is an Assistant Professor at the Higher Institute of Computer Science and Telecom of Hammam Sousse (ISITCOM), Tunisia. She has been member of the Scientific Council of ISITCOM for 3 years (2011-2014), and Head of the Department of Computer Science at ISITCOM for 3 years (2017-2020). Her research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security and Big Data Analysis. She has over 40 publications in reputed international journals and conferences and has presented many invited and contributed talks at international conferences.
