Adam Skorek is a Full Professor and Former Head of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the Universite du Quebec a Trois-Rivieres. He was elected and nominated Director of the UQTR's Research Group on Industrial Electronics (1995-2001). He is a Visiting Professor at the Faculty of Management at the Białystok Technical University. Elected by Professors, he was nominated by the Council of Ministers: Member of the Board of Directors of the University of Quebec at Trois-Rivieres (2008-2011) as well Member of the Board of Governors of the University of Quebec (2011-2014). His works include supercomputers applications to the electro-thermal applications and complex problems solutions in industrial environment. More specifically he worked on numerical algorithms with the use of parallel computing for the analysis of the thermal problems in electrical, electronics and nanoelectronics devices. He has made contributions to the numerical analysis of electro-thermal phenomena exploring and applying various techniques to the power electronics devices design. and industrial process control. This contribution is reflected in the number of papers published and presented in journals and conferences. He is an active Fellow Member of the Institute of Electrical and Computer Engineering (IEEE). His IEEE implications includes membership of the IEEE MGA Awards and Recognition Committee (2015-2016), IEEE Awards Board (2013-2014 and 2008–2009), IEEE Medal of Honor Committee (2008-2009) and the Industry Applications Society Executive Board (2005–2008 and 2001–2003) as well Chairs of the IEEE MGA Awards and Recognition Committee (2013-2014), the St-Maurice Section (2003–2004 and 1992–1994), Education Society Chapters Committee (1997–2001), Eastern Canada Council and Education Activities Committee of the IEEE Canada. He is a co-founder of the PARELEC IEEE International Conference dedicated to parallel computing applications in electrical engineering. He is the Member of the Association of Polish Electrical Engineers (SEP) and the Member of the Polish Association of Production Management (PTZP) Adam Skorek was appointed as Head of his Department (2001-2007) and elected by his Colleagues as Chair of the Canadian Heads and Chairs of Electrical Engineering Departments Network (2004). He was a Member (2001-2007) of both the Canadian Heads and Chairs of Electrical Engineering Departments network (CHECE) and the Electrical and Computer Engineering Departments Heads Association (ECEDHA), providing Canadian representation as a Member of ECEDHA's Board of Directors (2004).

Ahmed A. Kishk is a Professor at Concordia University, Montréal, Quebec, Canada (since 2011), as Tier 1Canada Research Chair in Advanced Antenna Systems. He was an Associate Editor of Antennas & Propagation Society Newsletters from 1990 to 1993, a distinguished lecturer for the Antennas and Propagation Society (2013-2015), an Editor of Antennas & Propagation Magazine (1993-2014), an editor of the ACES Journal during 1997, an Editor-in-Chief of the ACES Journal from 1998 to 2001, the chair of the Physics and Engineering Division of the Mississippi Academy of Science (2001-2002), a Guest Editor of the special issue on artificial magnetic conductors, soft/hard surfaces, and other complex surfaces, in the IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, January 2005, and a co-guest Editor in IEEE Antennas and Propagation and Wireless Letter on the special cluster on “5G/6G enabling antenna systems and associated testing technologies.”Dr. Kishk was a the general chair of the 2020 IEEE AP-S Symposium on Antennas and Propagation and CNC/USNC-URSI joint meeting and a technical program committee member for several international conferences. He was a member of the AP-S AdCom (2013-2015) and the 2017 AP-S president.
Prof. Kishk research interest includes the areas of millimeter-wave antennas for 5G/6G applications, Analog beamforming network, Dielectric resonator antennas, microstrip antennas, small antennas, microwave sensors, RFID antennas for readers and tags, Multi-function antennas, microwave circuits, EBG, artificial magnetic conductors, soft and hard surfaces, phased array antennas, reflect/transmitarray, wearable antennas, and Feeds for Parabolic reflectors. He has published over 385-refereed journal articles and 510 conference papers. He is a co-author of four books and several book chapters and the editor of four books. He offered several short courses in international conferences.
Prof. Kishk and his students received several awards. He won the 1995 and 2006 outstanding paper awards for papers published in the Applied Computational Electromagnetic Society Journal. He received the 1997 Outstanding Engineering Educator Awardfrom the IEEE Memphis section. He received the Outstanding Engineering Faculty Member of the Year in 1998 and 2009, Faculty research award for outstanding research performance in 2001 and 2005. He received the Award of Distinguished Technical Communication for IEEE Antennas and Propagation Magazine's entry, 2001. He also received The Valued Contribution Award for outstanding Invited Presentation, “EM Modeling of Surfaces with STOP or GO Characteristics – Artificial Magnetic Conductors and Soft and Hard Surfaces” from the Applied Computational Electromagnetic Society. He received the Microwave Theory and Techniques Society, Microwave Prize 2004. He received the 2013 Chen-To Tai Distinguished Educator Award of the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society. In recognition, “For contributions and continuous improvements to teaching and research to prepare students for future careers in antennas and microwave circuits, Kishk is a Fellow of IEEE since 1998, Fellow of Electromagnetic Academy, and a Fellow of the Applied Computational Electromagnetics Society (ACES). He is a member of the Antennas and Propagation Society, Microwave Theory and Techniques, Sigma Xi Society, Senior member of International Union of Radio Science, Commission B, Phi Kappa Phi, Electromagnetic Compatibility, and Applied Computational Electromagnetics Society.

Karu received BSc degree in electronic and telecommunication engineering with First Class Honours from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, and MASc and PhD degrees with near-perfect GPA in electrical engineering from the University of Ottawa, Canada. Previously he was Director of WiMed Research Centre and Associate Dean – Higher Degree Research (HDR) of the Division of Information and Communication Sciences and directed the Centre for Collaboration in Electromagnetic and Antenna Engineering at Macquarie University. He has also served as a member of the Dean’s Advisory Council and the Division Executive and as the Head of the Department several times.
Karu has authored approximately 600 research publications and his papers have been cited about 9,000 times. In each of 2019 and 2018 his publications received over 1100 citations. He is the first Australian antenna researcher ever to reach Google Scholar h-index of 30 and his citation indices have been among the top Australian antenna researchers for a long time (in January 2020: i10 is 167 and h-index is 46). Since 2002, his research team has been involved with research grants, contracts and PhD scholarships worth about 20 million dollars, including 15 Australian Research Council grants, without counting the 245 million-dollar SmartSat Corporative Research Centre, which started in 2019. His research has been supported by many national and international organisations including Australian Research Council, Intel, US Air Force, Cisco Systems, Hewlett-Packard, Australian Department of Defence, Australian Department of industry, and German and Indian governments.
Karu’s awards include 2019 Motohisa Kanda Award (from IEEE USA) for the most cited paper in IEEE Transactions on EMC in the past five years, 2019 Macquarie University Research Excellence Award for Innovative Technologies, 2019 ARC Discovery International Award, 2017 Excellence in Research Award from the Faculty of Science and Engineering, 2017 Engineering Excellence Award for Best Innovation, 2017 Highly Commended Research Excellence Award from Macquarie University, 2017 Certificate of Recognition from IEEE Region 10, 2016 and 2012 Engineering Excellence Awards for Best Published Paper from IESL NSW Chapter, 2011 Outstanding Branch Counsellor Award from IEEE headquarters (USA), 2009 Vice Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Higher Degree Research Supervision and 2004 Innovation Award for best invention disclosure. His mentees have been awarded many fellowships, awards and prizes for their research achievements. Forty-eight international experts who examined the theses of his recent PhD graduates ranked them in the top 5% or 10%.
Karu was elevated to prestigious IEEE Fellow grade for his contributions to resonance-based antennas. He is also a Fellow of Engineers Australia. In addition to the large number of invited conference speeches he has given, he has been an invited plenary/extended/keynote speaker of several IEEE and other conferences and workshops including EuCAP 2020 Copenhagen, Denmark; URSI’19 Seville, Spain; and 23rd ICECOM 2019, Dubrovnik, Croatia.

David Bensoussan was born in Mogador, Morocco, November 14, 1947. He received his B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Technion Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa, Israel, in 1970 and M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from McGill University, Montreal, QC, Canada, in 1978 and 1982, respectively. He has been a professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the École de technologie supérieure de l'Université du Québec since 1980. He has published extensively in the field of control, telecommunications and energy and has filed a large number of patents. He authored a series of technical books published by Bordas-Dunod-Gauthier Villars, France, Academic Press, Presses Internationales de Polytechnique and Presses de l’Université du Québec. He has also written a number of literary works, including a Bible commentary. His research interests include input-output stability theory, robust multivariable feedback control design, sensitivity theory and decentralized control.

Professor Dr. Nasrudin Abd Rahim holds PhD from Heriot-Watt University, UK. He became a Chartered Engineer in 2000 and promoted as a Professor in 2003. He is a Fellow in the Institution of Engineering Technology (FIET) and Academy of Sciences Malaysia (FASM). He is also an Adjunct Professor in the King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (SMIEEE). Professor Dr. Nasrudin is the Founder and Director of the UM Power Energy Dedicated Advanced Centre (UMPEDAC), one of the ten nationally acclaimed Higher Institutions’ Centre of Excellence (HICoE) of the Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE). He is also the Chairman of the University of Malaya Advanced Engineering & Technology (AET) Research Cluster.
His professional contribution in imparting and adding to knowledge, and furthering progress in his field, extends beyond the perimeters of the university. At regional and international levels, he has served in various capacities for IEE and IEEE, the most recent has been the Chair of the IEEE Power Engineering Society Motor Sub-Committee Working Group 8 upon his election to the position in 2006. He also has been made the Malaysia SEE Forum Coordinator in 2009. In research, he has led, and co-researched, projects of national and international importance, with funding totaling millions of ringgit. He is a published author of more than 100 refereed journals, 175 articles, and books, and has had more than fifteen PhD candidates graduated. Among many other academic and field-related awards won locally and internationally, is the AUNSEED-Net Research Grant, of which he had the honor of being its first recipient. He had in 2008-2011 been made Visiting Research Fellow to the University of New South Wales, Australia.

Fushuan Wen (SM'17) received the B.E. and M.E. degrees from Tianjin University, Tianjin, China, in 1985 and 1988, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree from Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China, in 1991, all in electrical engineering. He joined the faculty of Zhejiang University in 1991, and has been a Full Professor and the Director of the Institute of Power Economics and Information since 1997, and the Director of Zhejiang University-Insigma Joint Research Center for Smart Grids since 2010. He was a university distinguished Professor, the Deputy Dean of the School of Electrical Engineering and the Director of the Institute of Power Economics and Electricity Markets in South China University of Technology, Guangzhou, China, from 2005 to 2009. From May 2014 to May 2017, he was a Professor with Universiti Teknologi Brunei, Brunei. His research interests lie in power industry restructuring, power system alarm processing, fault diagnosis and restoration strategies, as well as smart grids and electric vehicles. Prof. Wen is an Editor of the IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON POWER SYSTEMS and the IEEE POWER ENGINEERING LETTERS, a subject editor on power system economics of the IET Generation, Transmission and Distribution, the Journal of Energy Engineering (ASCE), and the Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy (Springer).

Professor Tarek M. Sobh received the B.Sc. in Engineering degree with honors in Computer Science and Automatic Control from the Faculty of Engineering, Alexandria University, Egypt in 1988, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer and Information Science from the School of Engineering, University of Pennsylvania in 1989 and 1991, respectively. He is currently the Provost and Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Lawrence Technological University (LTU), Michigan. He is Distinguished Professor and Dean of Engineering Emeritus at the University of Bridgeport (UB), Connecticut.
His background is in the fields of robotics, computer science and engineering, control theory, automation, manufacturing, AI, computer vision and signal processing. Dr. Sobh's current research interests include reverse engineering and industrial inspection, CAD/CAM and active sensing under uncertainty, robots and electromechanical systems prototyping, sensor-based distributed control schemes, unifying tolerances across sensing, design, and manufacturing, hybrid and discrete event control, modelling, and applications, and autonomous mobile robotic manipulation. He has published over 250 refereed journal and conference papers, and book chapters in these and other areas, in addition to 27 books. Professor Sobh is also interested in developing theoretical and experimental tools to aid performing adaptive goal-directed robotic sensing for modelling, observing and controlling interactive autonomous agents in unstructured environments.
Dr. Sobh serves or has served on the editorial boards of 18 journals, and has served as Chair, Technical Program Chair and on the program committees of over 300 international conferences and workshops in the Robotics, Automation, Sensing, Computing, Systems, Control, Online Engineering and Engineering Education areas. Dr. Sobh has presented more than 150 keynote speeches, invited talks and lectures, colloquia and seminars at research meetings, University departments, research centers, and companies.
His current research and development activities at include work on tolerance representation and determination for inspection and manufacturing, hybrid controllers for robotics and automation, service robots, prototyping and synthesis of controllers, simulators, and monitors for manipulators, autonomous navigation, evolutionary robotics, algorithms for uncertainty computation from sense data, and web-based prototyping, control synthesis, and simulation of robots.
Prof. Sobh has supervised over 50 award-winning graduate and undergraduate students working on different projects within robotics, prototyping, computer vision, control, and manufacturing; in addition to more than 300 undergraduate and graduate students working on their B.S. projects, Master's thesis or Ph.D. dissertations. Dr. Sobh is active in consulting and providing service to many industrial organizations and companies. He has consulted for several companies in the U.S., Switzerland, India, Kazakhstan, England, Malaysia and Egypt, to support projects in robotics, automation, manufacturing, sensing, numerical analysis, control, engineering and higher education, and education program accreditation. He has also worked at Philips Laboratories in New York, and a number of companies in Egypt. Dr. Sobh has been awarded over 60 grants to pursue his work in robotics, automation, manufacturing, sensing and STEM Education.
Dr. Sobh is a Fellow of the African Academy of Sciences and a member of the Connecticut Academy of Science and Engineering. Dr. Sobh is a recipient of the ASEE Northeastern U.S. Distinguished Engineering Professor of the Year award, the IEEE Northeast Technological Innovation Research Award, an ACE Higher Education Award and several other merits in recognition of his educational, research, scholarly and service activities in engineering, education, computing and diversity initiatives. Sastry Pamidi received his Ph.D. in 1992 from the University of Bombay, India. He is currently a professor and serving as the Chair of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at FAMU-FSU College of Engineering (www.eng.famu.fsu.edu). He is the Associate Director of the Center for Advanced Power Systems at Florida State University (www.caps.fsu.edu), where he leads a multidisciplinary research group focusing on superconducting power applications. His research interests are in high power density superconducting devices, cryogenic dielectrics, advanced AC loss measurements, and applied cryogenics related to superconducting power applications. He has established advanced research facilities and testbeds to characterize superconducting cables cooled with gaseous helium. He has established a high voltage engineering laboratory specializing in the cryogenic dielectric characterization of insulation materials and designs for superconducting power applications. He has collaborated with many research groups around the world and delivered invited presentations at many international conferences. He authored and co-authored more than 180 publications in journals, conference proceedings, and three book chapters. He has active collaborations with superconducting wire manufacturers and several small businesses. He has served on the technical committees of many international conferences and as a guest technical editor for many special issues of the IEEE Transactions on Applied Superconductivity. He served as the conference chair for the 21st International Cryocoolers Conference in 2020. Dr. Pamidi is active in IEEE and is the Chair of the Power and Energy Chapter of the local IEEE Section.

Dr. Nicolas G. Constantin, Senior Member IEEE, received his B.Eng. degree in 1989 from the École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS) - University of Quebec, Canada, his M.A.Sc. degree in 1994 from the École Polytechnique de Montréal, Canada, and his Ph.D. degree in 2009 from McGill University, Canada, all in electrical engineering. He is currently an Associate Professor at the ÉTS, Montreal, Canada. From 1989 to 1992 he worked in the design of microwave transceivers for point to point radio links. From 1996 to 1998 he worked as an RF design engineer at NEC, in the development of RF and microwave transceivers for mobile telephony. From 1998 to 2002 he was a senior design engineer at Skyworks Solutions, Inc., California, USA, where he developed GaAs HBT RFIC PAs for wireless communications. At Skyworks he was also actively involved in research on smart biasing and efficiency improvement techniques for RFIC PAs, and he is the author of several patents on the subject. He was the recipient of a doctoral scholarship from the Natural Science and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) of Canada, and a doctoral scholarship from the ÉTS. His primary research interests are in the design and test of Analog, RF & Millimeter-wave ICs and Front-End modules for wireless communications. He conducts research in collaboration with major companies in the wireless communication and aerospace industry.
