Manjunatha Kini conducts basic and applied research on snake venoms and saliva of blood-feeding animals, both contain pharmacologically-active proteins. He is an accomplished biochemist and established world leader in the field of toxins as well as in blood clotting (thrombosis and hemostasis). His main research focus is "From Toxins to Therapeutics", where he identifies novel bioactive proteins from venoms or saliva, determines their modes of action, and designs potential drug-leads based on their structure. Venom toxins target cardiovascular and neuromuscular systems. He has published 240 research publications including 182 original articles, 40 reviews, and 18 book chapters. Besides, he also filed 50 patent applications. He edited two monographs “Venom Phospholipase A2 Enzymes: Structure, Function and Mechanism” (Sole editor, 1997, John Wiley, England) and “Toxins and Hemostasis: From Bench to Bedside” (Chief Editor, 2010, Springer, The Netherlands). He also edited five special issues for various journals.

Dr. Xiaoqi Liu is the current Chair and Professor of Department of Toxicology and Cancer Biology, Lucille P. Markey Endowed Chair in Oncology Research, Markey Cancer Center at University of Kentucky. Dr. Liu has a broad background in cancer biology, with specific training and expertise in signaling transduction, cell cycle regulation, DNA damage repair, and therapy resistance in the context of prostate cancer (PCa). Dr. Liu received his BS in chemistry at Peking University in 1991, and MS in Institute of Biophysics at Chinese Academy of Science in 1994. Dr. Liu received his PhD at Washington State University in 1999 by working on DNA repair of UV-induced DNA damage. Dr. Liu did his post-doctoral training at Harvard University by working on signal transduction in mitosis, particular polo-like kinase 1 (Plk1). Dr. Liu started his independent laboratory at Purdue University in 2006 by focusing on understanding the regulation of Plk1 in cancer cells. Dr. Liu has published 100 peer-reviewed research articles so far. Dr. Liu’s research program has been well funded by various agencies including NSF, ACS, and NIH. At this moment, Dr. Liu has four active R01s, all of which are prostate cancer-focused. In short, Dr. Liu has established his reputation as one of major contributors of the Plk1 field over the last 20 years. In 2018, Dr. Liu was recruited to University of Kentucky as Chair of Department of Toxicology and Cancer Biology.

Henry Spiller is the director of the Central Ohio Poison Center and former director of Kentucky Regional Poison Center with more than 35 years of active clinical and research experience. He is Board Certified in Toxicology by the American Board of Applied Toxicology, an elected Fellow of the American Academy of Clinical Toxicology, and a Clinical Professor at Ohio State University, College of Medicine. He has worked with the CDC, USAID, WHO, and PAHO. He has more than 200 peer-reviewed publications in major journals in the fields of toxicology, pediatrics, and emergency medicine and more than 190 presentations at scientific meetings on various toxicological subjects in South America, North America, Asia, and Europe. Areas of interest include mechanisms of toxicity, clinical management of toxic patients, and a focus on translating bench findings to clinical practice.

Diana Anderson (H index 64) holds the Established Chair in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Bradford. She obtained her first degree at the University of Wales and second degrees in the Faculty of Medicine, University of Manchester. She has 550+ peer-reviewed papers, 10 books, has successfully supervised 32 PhDs, is an Editorial Board Member of 10 international journals. She is Editor-in-Chief of a book series on Toxicology for the Royal Society of Chemistry. She gives plenary and keynotes addresses at various international meetings. She is a consultant for many international organizations, including WHO, EU, NATO, TWAS, UNIDO, OECD.

Dr. Suresh C Sikka, Director of Urology Research and Andrology Clinic and Research Laboratories. Dr. Sikka recently publishes a book on ”BIOENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES AFFECTING MENS REPRODUCTIVE AND SEXUAL HEALTH. Board Certification, HCLD (Andrology) by American Board of Bioanalysis; and Certification of Clinical Laboratory Scientist-Specialist, Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners - 1995. Directs CLIA/HCFA certified Andrology laboratory at Tulane University Health Sciences Center. Study section reviewer for EPA and other agencies in the area of reproductive toxicology. Expertise in Clinical Diagnosis of Vascular Impotence using Doppler Ultrasound; manual and CASA semen analysis; assisted reproductive techniques in Andrology/Fertility. Expert Panel Member on Standardization of Penile Doppler Ultrasound Technology. Directs basic research projects focused on oxidative stress response elements and signal transduction mechanisms related to Andrological issues in males especially related to bioenvironmental toxicology, infertility, aging, sexual dysfunction, and prostate tumorigenesis employing specific in-vivo and in-vitro models. Published over 140 peer-reviewed manuscripts, 8 book chapters, and more than 280 abstract and special lecture presentations at both the National and International level. Involved in teaching/training of Urology residents, medical students, and research fellows. The reviewer of manuscripts submitted to more than 10 journals. Past editorial board member of the Journal of Andrology, Journal of Sexual Medicine, and Frontiers of Bioscience. Mentor to graduate students, A.F.U.D. scholars, summer students, and other research fellows for the past 30 years. In 1999 set up a unique state-of-the-art standardized semen analysis training program and quality control management in the Tulane Department of Urology that caters to the needs of many pharmaceutical companies for their multicenter clinical trials on drug safety evaluation targeting reproductive toxicology as mandated by the FDA. Dr. Sikka has also set up a Central Reader facility for sperm morphology evaluation for such multicenter studies. Certified more than 150 technical personnel throughout the US, Canada, Germany, and South Africa for standardized S/A as required by many major Pharmaceutical companies for drug safety studies.

João Paulo Teixeira, Ph.D. in Medical Sciences, is Head of the Research Unit at the Environmental Health Department of the National Institute of Health, Porto Portugal. Currently, he is also Member-Elected of Executive Committee of the EUROTOX (Association of European Toxicologists and European Societies of Toxicology), Vice-President ofAP Tox (Portuguese Society of Toxicology), Coordinator of Toxicology Section of the SPF (Portuguese Society of Pharmacology) (SPF), and Coordinator of the Environmental and Laboratory Epidemiology Group of the ISPUP (Institute of Public Health of the University of Porto). In his active service to the scientific community, he worked, by invitation, as an expert at the IARC/WHO (International Agency for Research on Cancer/ World Health Organization) panel for the evaluation of the carcinogenic risk of styrene exposure to humans and on other EU research evaluation committees. He has been coordinating and participating in several international and national R&D project consortiums; served as associated editor and guest-editor in different international journals, and acted as chair/co-chair and member in many several international congresses. His main area of research is Toxicology, with a special interest in the field of occupational & environmental health, including the interaction between genetic factors and exposure. João Paulo Teixeira has published more than 300 scientific articles/book chapters with peer review and holds an h index of 44

Zeliha Selamoglu is a Professor in the Medical Biology department of Nigde Ömer Halisdemir University, Turkey. She earned her Ph.D. in Biology from Inonu University, She has published over 150 peer-reviewed journal articles with over 2015 citations and many technical reports. She is a member of the Society for Experimental Biology and Medicine: Associate Membership and the European association for cancer research. She has served as an Editorial Board member for many Journals.

José Eduardo Serrão, the biologist, is a full professor at the Federal University of Viçosa and Researcher fellowship from the National Council of Research and Development. He has 440+ peer-reviewed papers with 4600+ citations(H index 31), has successfully supervised 32 PhDs, is an Editorial Board Member of two international journals. His research is focused on the morphology and physiology of insects, including the side-effects of pesticides.

Medina-Estévez Florián is a Professor at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria with the specialization of LC IN MEDICINE AND SURGERY. He was awarded for Communication presented at the XVI Congress of the Canarian Society of Rehabilitation and Physical Medicine and Spanish Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, First prize for the Spanish Society of Cardiorespiratory Rehabilitation. His research involves NeuroRehabilitation and Diagnostic & therapeutic management of motor neuron injuries Superior, Patient Registry of Spasticity Care, National Prospective Cohort to confirm the efficacy of a cycle of botulinum toxin Type A injections in adults with spasticity.

Dr. Paraschiva Cherecheș is a Founder and secretary of The Pediatric Pulmonology Section of The Romanian Society of Pulmonology and the National Association of Pediatric Nephrology and Urology and she is a Member of The Romanian Society of Pulmonology and a Senior Physician in Pediatrics (2000), Doctoral Degree in Medicine (2001): “Monitoring of treatment with theophylline administered in children with asthma and premature with idiopathic apnea by measuring the salivary level of the drug”. Lecturer in Pediatrics (2002) at The University of Medicine and Pharmacy. Overspecialization in Pediatric Pneumology and Pediatric Nephrology. Competence in Special Pulmonary Function Tests and Pediatric Allergology and Immunology.

Dr. Kenneth Watters studied medicine in Trinity College Dublin and post-qualification he trained in internal medicine and laboratory medicine. He has worked in the pharmaceutical industry for 42 years and is experienced in drug development, regulatory affairs, pharmacovigilance, quality assurance with extensive experience in risk management, minimization, and avoidance. In the area of “Risk Management,” he has worked with small and large molecules including h-erythropoietin, anti-rejection medicines in transplantation, thalidomide analogs, and biosimilar medicines. He has led teams in drug development and posts approval “rescue” when toxicological issues developed with a drug or device. This has included presentations at a scientific meeting with clinical colleagues and medicines regulatory agencies which includes the: FDA, EMA, National Agencies in Europe, Australia, Japan, and South Africa. He continues to have a clinical interest in diabetes and endocrinology and is now a Senior Clinical Fellow in a Diabetes center in London.

Dr. Liping Feng's research has focused on understanding the mechanisms of pregnancy complications associated with placental development. These works are translated then to the clinical care of women through studies dedicated to identify risk factors and novel biomarkers for early prediction and prevention of adverse birth outcomes. Dr. Feng devotes her entire career to improving pregnancy outcomes through innovative research. Dr. Feng conducts both basic science/laboratory research, as well as participates in clinical studies. Her laboratory has focused on understanding the mechanisms of placenta-originated pregnancy complications such as preeclampsia and stillbirth, which are important causes of perinatal and neonates’ mortality and morbidity. Currently, she has three lines of investigation focused on the roles of inflammation/infection, cell aging, and environmental exposure in placental development and subsequent pregnancy complications. In addition, Dr. Feng has established an international collaboration in Global Women’s Health. She has affiliated with the Duke Global Health Institute (DGHI) and participates in DGHI research. She has an interest in DGHI education, and service or policy initiatives, including mentoring and teaching graduate and professional students on fieldwork and research.

Dr. Sheba MohanKumar is an Associate Professor in the Department of Veterinary Biosciences and Diagnostic Imaging at the University of Georgia. She teaches in the College of Veterinary Medicine. She received her veterinary degree from Madras Veterinary College, India, and went on to receive advanced degrees in Biochemistry and Neuroendocrinology from Kansas State University, USA. Her research focuses on neuroimmune-endocrine interactions. Her group investigates the interplay between stress and reproductive axes in the context of infection, obesity, and endocrine disruption using a variety of novel paradigms and state-of-the-art technology. Her laboratory demonstrated for the first time that perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS), a chemical that is added to many commercial products to retard flame and water, can activate the stress axis and disrupt estrous cyclicity in female rats. Her other studies have explored the effects of exposure to particulate matter on neuroendocrine functions. Dr. MohanKumar has received funding from the National Science Foundation, National Institutes of Health, and private foundations for her work. She is on the editorial board of two journals and has published more than 45 papers in international journals. Her laboratory is currently studying the effects of prenatal exposures to low doses of plasticizing chemicals and their impact on behavioral, cardiovascular, reproductive, and metabolic outcomes.

Dr. Marcela Galar Martínez is a Mexican researcher, with studies in Industrial Pharmaceutical Chemistry, a Master's Degree in Toxicology, and Doctorate in chemical-biological Sciences. She is a professor and researcher at the National School of Biological Sciences of the National Polytechnic Institute in Mexico. Dr. Galar-Martinez directs the Laboratory of Aquatic Toxicology, where several Research projects are carried out with the objective of understanding the mechanisms of damage involved in the toxicity of metals and emerging pollutants drug-like on hydrations, as well as evaluating the ecotoxicological risk that these contaminants produce to the health of both humans and aquatic ecosystems, using biomarkers of oxidative stress, geno, cyto, and embryotoxicity, as well as behavioral tests. Dr. Galar-Martinez is a member of the National System of Researchers, level II, of the National Council of Science and Technology in Mexico. She has directed 23 research projects and written more than 77 scientific articles in JCR journals. Her research work in relation to the toxicity produced by pollutants in fresh wáter bodies led her to become part of the Madin Dam Basin Commission, establishing an important link between the scientific community, society, and decisión makers in that wáter body.

Dr. Manorama Patri, neuroscientist, graduated from Ravenshaw College in 1987 and worked as an Associate Professor in Zoology at Ravenshaw University since 2011. From 2006-2008, she worked as the Post Doctoral Fellow in Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), Kansai Center, Japan. She worked at the Central University of Hyderabad as a Research Associate in the Department of Animal Science, 2008. She worked as the Women Scientist (DST WOS “A”) from 2009-2011 in Prof. B. N. Mallick’s Neurobiology Laboratory, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Her research interest mainly focuses on the interactions between the microbiome and the central nervous system. The microbiome has a tremendous impact on human health. In particular, the gut microbiota may play a key role in many essential processes in health and disease via the activity of the gut-brain axis, possibly contributing to autism spectrum disorders, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, depression, and anxiety disorder. Gut microbes may also be involved in nociception, complex host behaviors, and brain development. Now she has published more than 40 international research papers and compiled 10 volumes of her collected books and got more than 06 items of awards. In addition to the National Outstanding Contributor and the DST Women Scientist Award, most awards to her were for the Science and Technology success. She was selected as an executive member of the Indian Academy of Neuroscience (IAN) during 2016-18, as a member of the Life Science Board in 2016, as an Academician of the Odisha Bigyan Academy since 2001.

Prof. D. K. Dhawan is presently working as a Professor Emeritus in the Department of Biophysics and has previously worked as Professor of Biophysics for 14 years. He also founded the Centre for Nuclear Medicine at Panjab University, Chandigarh in the year 2006 and headed the same for 9 years and was also Coordinator, Centre for Medical Physics in the year 2013. Professor Dhawan did his Ph.D. from the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research, Chandigarh, India in the year 1984. Before his Ph.D., he worked in the Radiation Medicine Centre of Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Mumbai, India, and was awarded Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Radioisotopes Techniques in the year 1978. His research areas are radiation medicine, toxicology, and cancer. He has published 218 research articles and 174 are listed in Scopus during 38 years of his research career. Prof. Dhawan has supervised 44 Ph.D. and 47 Master’s theses of students and currently is supervising the work of 6 Ph.D. students. He has completed 18 research projects funded by various scientific organizations. Recently, his research entitled” A radioactive trimer complex for the detection of tumors” was granted a Patent by the Government of India. Prof. Dhawan is a Fellow of the Union for International Cancer Control, Indian Association of Biomedical Scientists, and an honorary fellow of the Indian College of Nuclear Medicine. For his contribution to science, he was given Oration award by the Indian Association of Biomedical Scientists at its 38th Annual conference held at Chennai, India, and was also given the best researcher award by Panjab University in the year 2019. Recently, Prof. Dhawan has been awarded University Grants Commission-Basic Science Research (UGC-BSR) Faculty Fellowship by the University Grants Commission of India.

Juliana CancinoBernardi is a researcher collaborator at the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil. Born in Maringá, state of Parana in Brazil, she graduated in Chemistry – Bachelor, and Licenciatura - from the State University of Maringá. She obtained her Master's and Doctorate in Sciences - Analytical Chemistry concentration area - from the São Carlos Institute of Chemistry and co-supervision by the São Carlos Institute of Physics, both from the University of São Carlos Paulo. During her doctorate, she undertook a sandwich internship at Rühr Universität, Germany. She held the Post-Doctorate at the Institute of Physics of São Carlos in the Nanomedicine and Nanotoxicology Group acting as a group leader. She was a visiting researcher at the Center for Bionano Interactions at University College Dublin, Ireland. Her research is focused on the application of analytical techniques in Nanomedicine and Nanotoxicology, acting mainly on the development of theranostic nanoparticles and biosensors applied to analytes of medical interest, bioanalytical nanomaterials, and toxicological studies of nanomaterials via electroanalytical, cell biology, and membrane models.

El Mahdi Redouane is a researcher in Ecotoxicology and Environmental Microbiology at Cadi Ayyad University, Marrakesh, Morocco. El Mahdi specializes in naturally-occurring toxins with a special focus on cyanobacterial toxins; their adverse impact on soil-plant systems, related human health risk, and environmentally-relevant strategies of bioremediation. El Mahdi published 6 papers themed on bioremediation of cyanotoxins in soil and aquatic ecosystems in international journals and collaborates in an international research project in environmental toxicology alongside Portugal and Spain to assess the health risk related to cyanotoxins exposure via contaminated crops.

Dr. Gehad Mekky is a lecturer at the Faculty of Science, Zagazig University. Her research work is focused on how to investigate the augmenting anticonvulsant effect of micro and nanoparticle magnesium compound on valproate against pentylenetetrazol-induced convulsion in rats. She is also a research fellow at Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative medicine under the supervision of Dr. Anthony Atala. At the WFIRM she has participated in many projects: 1- developing and using 3D brain organoid for disease modeling and as the model for drug and toxicity screening, 2- using Mesenchymal Stem Cells-Derived Exosomes as a novel delivery system to deliver immunotherapeutic agents and large proteins through blood-brain-barrier for treatment of neurodegenerative diseases, 3- the role of MSc in the improvement of functional outcomes after spinal cord injury, 4- Stem Cell Therapy in Necrotizing Enterocolitis.

Dr. Ana Belén Muñiz González have a degree in Biology (2012), later she did the International Master: Biotechnology of Environmental and Health (2015) both at the University of Oviedo, Spain. During the last five years, she has worked in the Biology and Environmental Toxicology group, of the Department of Mathematics and Fluid Physics of the UNED, Madrid, Spain. She is a Doctor of Science from the National University of Distance Education (UNED), with the thesis entitled "Impact of emergent pollutants and multi-stress in Chironomus riparius: a molecular and cellular analysis". Her research focuses on the molecular level evaluation of emerging pollutants (ultraviolet filters, pesticides, drugs, or microplastics), including multi-stress situations, climate change on the aquatic invertebrate Chironomus riparius. she studies the changes in gene expression using a specifically designed array with genes related to essential pathways in invertebrates such as the endocrine system, the detoxification and stress response, the immune system, or DNA repair genes using the Real-Time PCR technique. The study of toxicological effects at the molecular level has the advantage of being able to detect damage in acute exposures and can serve as an early alarm signal, avoiding future damage to populations. Currently, she maintains international collaborations as Muse (Trento, Italy) and with the CESAM (University of Aveiro), to evaluate the effects in field organisms as well as combine the molecular and physiological evaluation to improve the design of future toxicity guides.

Hedi BEN MANSOUR Ph.D. in Environmental Toxicology from Caen Normandy University France Full professor at Monastir University – Tunisia. Hedi Ben Mansour is a director of the Research Unit of Analysis and Process Applied to the Environment APAE- UR17ES32. He has received many awards, appreciations, and recognition from many international organizations such as the award of the young Francophone researchers in Sciences and Medicine (Sao Paulo Brézil in 2013). Currently, he is a consultant at several international organizations including ARSCO, AUF… He is a visiting professor of some European university and he holds life memberships of various international organizations and is an active participant in national and international scientific events. Currently, Prof Ben Mansour is engaging in studying the investigation of causes and the consequences of water pollution by micro pollutants (plasticizers, pharmaceutical residues, textile dyes, endocrine disruptors, etc.). The originality of its work lies in the development and realization of chemical and biological techniques for a correct analysis of water as well as the design of processes for the treatment and recovery of treated water. Currently, his research team is participating in four EU funded research projects. Hedi BEN MANSOUR has published more than 100 scientific articles with peer review and holds an h index of 16 has successfully supervised 10 PhDs, is an Editorial Board Member of 04 international journals.

Dr. Ramovatar Meena presently works as Asst Professor, at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India. He did his masters in biotechnology from Marathwada Agriculture University, Parbhani, and Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences with nanotoxicology as a specialization, from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India in 2014. Later he did his post-doctoral studies under renowned scientist, Prof Paulraj R from the same institute, where he worked extensively on the assessment of behavioral aspects and neurotoxicity of nanomaterials. Dr. Meena has published more than 52 papers in various international journals with a citation number greater than 721 times. One of his monumental papers on the effects of cell phone radiation on the brain is cited more than 1550 times the in last five years. He is the recipient of awards and grants from both national and international funding agencies. Dr. Meena has currently involved in the Hazards and risk assessment of nanomaterials as well as their pharmaceutical applications.

Dr. Lenka Applová is a researcher at the Department of Biochemical Sciences, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové, CharlesUniversity, Czech Republic. She received MSc in Pharmacy in 2009-2014 and Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Toxicology in 2019 at the same institution. Currently, she is a member of the EFSA-CDN project (Efficiency and Safety Improvement of Current Drugs and Nutraceuticals: Advanced Methods – New Challenges) at the Faculty of Pharmacy. Her research is focused on the cardiovascular system; during her Ph.D., she studied the influence of polyphenolic compounds and their metabolites on platelet activation and now she is a member of the Molecular and Cellular Toxicology Group focused on drug-induced cardiovascular toxicity, particularly the cardiotoxicity of anthracycline anticancer drugs.

Dr. Andleeb Khan (Ph.D.) is an Assistant Professor at Jazan University, Saudi Arabia. She has completed her doctorate from Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi, India in Toxicology with specialization in natural and active constituents from plants for prevention of Alzheimer’s Disease. She has teaching and research experience of more than ten years in neurodegenerative disorders and their prevention with medicinal plants, their active principles, and nanoformulations. Her accomplishment in academics in the Master course is outstanding and was able to get the Gold medal, the highest achievement for the topper of this course. She has published scores of research publications in national and international journals and contributed many book chapters with international publishers including Springer Nature and Academic Press (Elsevier). She is the editor of a book with Elsevier. She is also the Editorial board member and reviewer of various international journals and is the principal investigator of some significant projects on neurodegenerative diseases and their prevention. She has received many awards, appreciations, and recognition for her services to science. She holds life memberships of various international organizations and is an active participant in national and international scientific events. Currently, Dr. Khan is engaged in studying the molecular mechanism of Alzheimer's disease, Ischemic stroke, Parkinson’s Disease, and their prevention by various active principles from natural sources and nanoformulations.

Dr. Deepali Jat is an Assistant Professor-Stage III Neuroscience Research Unit and Research Supervisor at Doctor Hari Singh Gour University. Deepali Jat working with behavioral neuroscience, biochemistry (Free radical biology), therapeutic strategies for aging and neurodegeneration using targeted antioxidant therapies in research The current research interest is to study neurodegenerative conditions in the zebrafish brain. Especially cerebellar degeneration is correlated with mitochondrial encephalomyopathy.

Dr. Leo Bey Fen is a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Malaya (UM) and a research fellow at Nanotechnology and Catalysis Research Centre, UM. She obtained her Ph.D. from the London Centre for Nanotechnology (LCN), Imperial College London (UK). Currently, she is a consultant at the Electron Microscopy Services, Central Unit of Advanced Research Imaging, UM. Her research focuses on the effect of physicochemical properties of engineered nanomaterials on their stability as well as their toxicity with in vivo or in vitro models. Many of her peer-reviewed papers on the topics including nanomaterials synthesis and characterization, nanotoxicology, biosensors, etc. have been published in high impact journals. Moreover, the first-authored paper ‘The Stability of Silver Nanoparticles in a Model of Pulmonary Surfactant’ that has been published in the ES&T and noted as a science highlight in the UK Diamond Light Source Annual review. Dr. Leo serves as a technical committee for ISO Standard &OECD certification for Products containing Nanomaterials in OECD EHS programs. Moreover, she is an IKM technical committee member (ISO/TC 229 working group on Health, Safety and Environment relevant to Nanotechnologies).
