Huangxian Ju, born on Nov.10, 1964, in Jiangsu, is currently a professor at Nanjing University, the director of State Key Laboratory of Analytical Chemistry for Life Science, and vice-director of Modern Analytical Center of Nanjing University. He received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees from Nanjing University in 1986, 1989, and 1992, and then became a lecturer, associate professor, and professor at Nanjing University in 1992, 1993, and 1999, respectively. He was a postdoctoral researcher at Montreal University (Canada) from 1996-1997. He won the National Funds for National Distinguished Young Scholars in 2003 and was selected as a Changjiang Professor by the Education Ministry of China and a National Key Talent in The New Century in 2007 by China government, a chief scientist of National Basic Research Program of China by MSTC in 2009, Fellows of the International Society of Electrochemistry and the Royal Society of Chemistry in 2015. The research interests of Professor Huangxian Ju include analytical biochemistry and nano bio sensing, focusing on signal amplification and life analytical chemistry. He has published 724 papers (669 papers in SCI journals, and 445 papers in journals with IF>5), and authored 26 patents, 4 English books, 7 Chinese books, 20 chapters for 11 Chinese and 9 English books, and 6 editorial, preface or book reviews. Up to October 18, 2020, his research works have 33076 citations in SCI journals (31815 by other authors) with an h-index of 93 (Google Scholar h-index 102 with 38131 citations). Gianfranco Pacchioni is Full Professor of Materials Chemistry at the University of Milano Bicocca where from 2013 till 2019 he has been Vice-Rector for Research. He received the degree in Chemistry at the University of Milano (1978) and the Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry at the Free University of Berlin (1984). He has been working at the IBM Almaden Research Center in California (1987) and at the Technical University of Munich (1993). Associate Professor of Inorganic Chemistry at the University of Milano (1988). He received various awards including the Nasini Medal (1994) and the Pisani medal (2017) of the Italian Chemical Society, the National Price “Federchimica” (1996), the Alexander von Humboldt Award (2005), the Blaise Pascal Medal of the European Academy of Sciences (2016), the Chini Medal of the Division of Industrial Chemistry (2018). He is Fellow of the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei (2014), the Academia Europaea (2012), the European Academy of Sciences (2009). He has been Chairman of: the Department of Materials Science at the University of Milano Bicocca (2003-2009); the COST Action “Inorganic oxide surfaces and interfaces” (2006-2010); the Panel PE5 of the European Research Council for the Advanced Grants (2008-2012); the Theoretical and Computational Chemistry Division of the Italian Chemical Society (2011-2013); etc. He is member of the Scientific Council or of the Board of several national and international institutions (Tronchetti Provera Foundation 2008-now; Consorzio CORIMAV for Advanced Materials 2004-now; EnergyLab Foundation 2009-2016; Lake Como School for Advanced Studies, 2015-now; KIC Raw Materials 2015-2018; Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche, 2016-now). Gianfranco Pacchioni is co-author of about 550 papers with more than 28000 citations (h-index WoS: 85) and has given about 500 invited talks at international conferences and research institutions.

David Beljonne got his Ph.D. in Chemistry with Professor Jean-Luc Brédas at the University of Mons-Hainaut in 1994. After post-doctoral stays at the Universities of Cambridge (with Professor Richard Friend) and Rochester (with Professor ShaulMukamel), he became a research fellow of the Belgian National Science Foundation (FNRS) and is now FNRS Research Director. He is also a Visiting Principal Research Scientist at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta and serves as an associate editor for ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces. Co-author of about 450 scientific publications (more than 27000 citations; h index of 86, Scopus), his research activities deal with multifaceted modeling of the optoelectronic processes taking place in the bulk and at interfaces of (semi)conducting organic, 2D, and hybrid materials for electronics and energy applications.

Professor Lau received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Engineering in Aerospace Engineering from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT University, Australia) in 1996 and 1997, respectively. Within that period, he also worked for General Aviation Maintenance Pty Ltd, Australia, as an Engineer Trainee, and for the Corporative Research Centre for Advanced Composite Structures (CRC-ACS) Australia, as a Research Assistant designing a repair scheme for composite performs. Afterward, he received his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2001. Thereafter, he was appointed Assistant Professor in 2002 and promoted to Associate Professor and Professor in 2005 and 2010, respectively. In 2015, he was appointed as Alex Wong/Gigi Wong Professor in Product Design Engineering and Associate Dean (Industrial Relation) in the Faculty of Engineering, PolyU. Currently, he is the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research Performance and Development) of Swinburne University of Technology, Australia to look after its future research and ranking strategies. Professor Lau has received numerous research and teaching awards since 2002. In 2016, he was elected a Fellow of the European Academy of Science and Arts. To date, only three academics in Australia have received this honor. His publications have received over 21,000 citations with an h-index of 68. Since 2014, he has been elected as International Vice President of The Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) and appointed as Independent Non-executive Director of Kingsflair International (Holdings) Limited. Dr. Lau was named Australian Research Theme Leader in “Composite Materials” in 2019.

Prof. Jinlian HU is a smart polymer and textile materials scientist. Graduated with an MPhil from Donghua University in textile materials and received a Ph.D. from Manchester University, she recently joined the Department of Biomedical Engineering, the City University of Hong Kong where she established a Laboratory of Wearable Materials for Healthcare. The laboratory focuses on unearthing scientific principles and providing solutions to key problems in Healthcare of Wearable Materials in three major areas: Traditional Chinese medical therapies and their materials, energy materials and healthcare, spider silks and their relatives as biomaterials as well as personal protective integration. As such, we apply advanced methods including custom-made wearable electronics as basic tools to examine materials, their application methods, and particularly their interactions with the human body in terms of physical, chemical, biological, philological, and informational relations. From the discoveries and models of basic research, applied investigation, product developments, and standardization are envisaged, which can produce societal as well economic impact in addition to scientific advances. Before CityU, professor Hu worked at Hong Kong Polytechnic University for more than 20 years. Professor Jinlian Hu is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, Hong Kong Institution of Textile and Apparel, and the British Textile Institute. She is the founding chairman of the Hong Kong Health Science and Technology Park, the executive vice-chairman of the Hong Kong Invention and Innovation Federation, and a Council member of the Hong Kong Far Infrared Association

Appointed University Lecturer in the Electronic Engineering department at UCL in 1989, following his tenure at the University of Oxford as the Royal Society Eliz. Challenor Research Fellow (1986-89). At UCL, Jackman's interest in electronic materials led him to initiate a new activity, the Diamond Electronics Group (DEG), investigating the then-emerging topic of the diamond as a semiconductor. The group enjoys an international reputation, producing some of the first commercially viable diamond-based electronic devices worldwide; Professor Jackman holds the UCL Chair in Electronic Devices. Jackman's team is based in the London Centre for Nanotechnology (LCN) at UCL. Jackman has attracted funding from the UK's EPSRC, the EU (FW4,5,6 and 7, Horizon 2020), and in particular major the UK and multinational industries. Dr. Ilaria Cacciotti is Professor of Biomaterials & Tissue Engineering and Materials Science and Technology at University of Rome "Niccolò Cusano", with consolidated expertise in the synthesis and characterization of (bio)materials and eco-sustainable systems. She is a Member of the Research and Projects Committee and Erasmus+ Coordinator for Engineering Area. She graduated in Medical Engineering at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” (Master of Science Award ‘Fondazione Raeli’). Afterward, she completed the Ph.D. in Materials Engineering (Ph.D. Thesis Award ‘Marco Ramoni 2011, Ph.D. Thesis AIMAT Award 2012) and she obtained the II Level Master degrees in “Forensic Genetics” and in "Protection against CBRNe events". She is an expert in the synthesis, processing, and characterization of biocompatible nanostructured materials, particularly for applications in the biomedical, environmental, and agri-food sectors, including bioceramics (undoped and doped calcium phosphates, bioactive glasses), biopolymers and composites. Dr. Qiang is a full professor of physics and professor in the Nuclear Engineering Program at the University of Idaho, US. He is the chairman of the Idaho Academy of Science and Engineering and the director of the Nanophysics and Nanomaterials Laboratory. He received his MS degree in 1985 at the Harbin Institute of Technology and Ph.D. degree in1997 at the University of Freiburg, Germany. Dr. Qiang’s research focuses on magnetism and magnetic nanomaterials. He has studied magnetic nanoparticles and nanocomposites for more than 30 years, including synthesis of monodispersive nanoclusters and nanocluster-assembled composites; characterization of magnetic and optical properties as well as transport properties by conductivity, optics, susceptibility, and theoretical investigation. He applies magnetic nanomaterials in energy, environmental and biomedical nanoscience, and nanotechnology. Presently Dr. Qiang’s research interests are a) Nano-Nuclear Technology and magnetic separation nanotechnology for used nuclear fuel recycling; b) High-temperature ferromagnetism and giant magnetoresistance of semiconductor oxide nanomaterials for spintronics; and c) Iron-based magnetic nanoparticles for cancer treatment and environmental remediation.

Vladimir Torchilin got his M.S, Ph.D., and D.Sc. from the Moscow State University and serves currently as a University Distinguished Professor and Director, Center for Pharmaceutical Biotechnology and Nanomedicine, Northeastern University, Boston. He has published more than 450 papers, more than 200 reviews and book chapters, 13 books, and holds more than 40 patents. Google Scholar shows more than 73,000 citations of his papers with an H-index of 121. He is Editor-in-Chief of Current Drug Discovery Technologies and Drug Delivery, Co-Editor of Current Pharmaceutical Biotechnol,ogy and on the Editorial Boards of many journals. He received more than $30 M from the government and industry in research funding. He has multiple honors and awards and in 2011, Times Higher Education ranked him number 2 among top world scientists in pharmacology for the period of 2000-2010.

Prof. Shouxun Ji is currently a Professor at Brunel University London. He has been focusing on the development of lightweight materials and structures for the automotive industry, aerospace, power tools, and other sectors. The main activities include purpose-developed aluminum alloys and magnesium alloys with improved ductility, strength (at ambiance and elevated temperatures), modulus and thermal conductivity, and the hybrid structures using different materials and different joining techniques. He is also working on new materials and structures for special applications, such as materials for explosive cords and high-strength casting materials for aircraft. Recently, he worked with a world-leading company to develop magnesium alloys for engine application, which requires improved strength and thermal conductivity at room temperature and elevated temperatures. Prof. Ji has plenty of experience in high-pressure die casting and other shaped-casting processes. He also has experience in semi-solid metal processing of the-die casting and the-extrusion. His previous works also included cast irons (spheroidal graphite cast iron and austempered ductile iron) and copper alloys. Prof. Ji has published more than 140 papers in peer-reviewed scientific Journals and more than 20 international patents. He is a member of three ISO technical committees and one BSI technical committee and the editorial member of three scientific journals. He received the innovation award from CMF UK in 2017.

Prof. Rachid Yazami, is a native of Fez, Morocco, and a graduate of the Grenoble Institute of Technology (INPG) electrochemistry and materials science where he also received a Ph.D. on graphite intercalation compounds for lithium battery application, and began his career and rose to research director at CNRS (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique) in Grenoble. Recently, after over 40 years in academic research, Prof. Yazami retired from the CNRS pursuing his career as entrepreneur. Yazami is the inventor involved in over 150 patents related to battery technology, including the graphite anode used in most commercial lithium-ion batteries and over $100b business. Dr. Yazami co-authored about 250 articles in peer-reviewed journals, book chapters, and international meeting proceedings. Yazami served as a visiting associate in Materials Science and Chemistry at California Institute of Technology (Caltech) in collaboration with JPL/NASA together with being the President of the International Battery Association (IBA). His name appears in International Scientific Board of several lithium battery conferences and events. In 2010, Dr. Yazami joined the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore (NTU) where he held the Nanyang Visiting Professor in Materials Science position together with being a PI of battery research at the TUM Create Center of e-mobility, jointly managed by NTU and the The Technological University of Munich. In recognition of his invention of the graphite anode in lithium-ion batteries, Yazami received several scientific awards, including from NASA, NATO, IBA, JSPS, Hawaii Battery Conference, the IEEE and the Draper Prize in 2014 considered as the Nobel Prize in Engineering. In 2014 Yazami was decorated by HM the King of Morocco. Recently Prof. Rachid was the recipient of the 2019’ Arab Investor Award during a Forum held in the UNESCO headquarters in Paris together with the Mohamed Bin Rached Medal of Scientific Distinguishment of Life The achievement has given by the Ruler of Dubai in 2020.

Dr. Devika Chithrani is an associate professor at University of Victoria, Canada. She is also the director of the Nanoscience and Technology Development Laboratory. She is the recipient of the faculty gold medal and the gold medal for physics at her undergraduare convocation. Her excellence in both cademia and research led to many other prestegeous awards by Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) to conduct her graduate studies at University of Toronto, Canada. Following a successful completion of her doctoral work, she was awarded one of the most prestigious awards in Canada, the NSERC PDF, to continue her post-graduate research in the department of Biomedical engineering at university of Toronto. Now, she is an associate professor and leverages nanotechnology to create innovations that advance the care of cancer patients. She is using gold nanoparticles as a radiation dose enhancer in cancer therapy. This work is featured on the cover of radiation research journal and was also awarded the Michael S. Patterson publication prize in 2018 by the Canadian organization of medical physicists. She has developed three dimensional tumor models to optimize Bio-Nano interface in cancer therapy. This work is featured twice on the cover of Nano-Micro Letters journal. Dr. Chithrani is considered as one of the leaders in the field of nanotechnology and her publications have received over 10,000 citations in few years. Dr. Chithrani has earned a strong international reputation for her innovative research through her many review articles, book chapters, and invited presentations. Her passion is to develop smart nanomaterials to improve exiting cancer therapeutics.

Professor Maurizio Prato has demonstrated his commitment to the dissemination of knowledge within and beyond the academic community. He served as a university professor for over 30 years, teaching new generations of chemists, biotechnologists and materials scientists. In his research labs only in the last 10 years he has hosted and trained more than 30 master, 30 PhDs and 30 postdoctoral researchers, in addition to numberless visiting scientists and professors, of more than 10 nationalities. Prof. Prato has delivered more than 300 lectures at international conferences and at many research centers and Universities. Dr. JieshanQiu is Cheung-Kong Distinguished Professor of Carbon Science and Chemical Engineering at Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT), China, and Dean of Chemical Engineering Collegiate BUCT. He is an internationally recognized research and thought leader in chemical engineering and carbon science. His research encompasses both fundamental and applied aspects of carbon materials and science, with a focus on the methodologies of producing carbon materials for energy storage and conversion, catalysis, and environment protection. He has published 700+ papers in peer-reviewed journals, including Nature Mater., Adv. Mater., Adv. Funct. Mater., Adv. Energy Mater., Energy Environ. Dr. Christian Puttlitz is a Professor and Department Head of Mechanical Engineering at Colorado State University. He also serves as the Director of the Orthopaedic Bioengineering Research Laboratory (OBRL). The OBRL investigates orthopedic conditions in the normal, diseased, and treating conditions using computational, experimental, and animal models. In this talk, Dr. Puttlitz will describe his lab’s efforts to create 3D printed scaffolds for intervertebral disc herniation repair. This work includes a computational component that uses mechanobiological criteria to predict fibrocartilage generation as a function of scaffold architecture. Dr. Puttlitz received his Ph.D. from the University of Iowa in 1999 and served as a Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of California, San Francisco before joining the faculty in Orthopaedic Surgery at UCSF in 2001. He joined the faculty of mechanical engineering at Colorado State University in 2005.

Dr. Amir H. Alavi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and holds a courtesy appointment in the Department of Bioengineering at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Alavi’s research interests include structural health monitoring, multifunctional structures, deployment of advanced sensors, low-power energy harvesting, and engineering informatics. He is the director of Pitt’s Intelligent Structural Monitoring and Response Testing (smart) Laboratory which focuses on advancing the knowledge and technology required to create self-sustained and multifunctional sensing and structural systems. His research activities involve the implementation of these systems enhanced by engineering informatics in the fields of civil infrastructure, construction, aerospace, and biomedical engineering. Dr. Alavi has worked on research projects supported by Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Science Foundation (NSF), Pennsylvania DOT, Missouri DOT, and Michigan DOT. Dr. Alavi has authored seven books and over 200 publications in archival journals, book chapters, and conference proceedings. He has received several award certificates for his journal articles. He is among the Google Scholar 200 Most Cited Authors in Civil Engineering, as well as Web of Science ESI's World Top 1% Scientific Minds in 2018. Dr. Alavi is also on the Stanford University list of the World’s Top 1% Scientists in 2020.

Prof. Ester Vázquez obtained her PhD degree from the University of Castilla-la Mancha (UCLM) in 2000. After carrying out her postdoctoral training in Trieste, Italy, she joined the Faculty of Chemistry at UCLM, where she was promoted full professor in 2019. In 2007 she received the “Ibn Wafid de Toledo“ award for young researchers of Castilla-La Mancha. In April 2017 she became Director of the Institute for Applied Scientific Research(IRICA) at UCLM. Her scientific interests focus on the synthesis, functionalization and applications of carbon nanostructures using non-conventional methodologies, especially microwave radiations and ball milling techniques. Her group succeeded in the preparation of stable suspensions of graphene in water, which has allowed the biological exploration of this form of carbon under physiological conditionsand the preparation of smart gels for applications in drug delivery, tissue engineering and soft robotics. She collaborates with industrial partners and numerous European groups within the framework of the Graphene Flagship project.

Dr. Fahrettin Ozturk is currently Executive Vice President at Turkish Aerospace Industries, Inc. and Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University, Ankara, Turkey.Dr. Ozturk received all his degrees in Mechanical Engineering. His undergraduate degree from Selcuk University, Konya, Turkey in 1992 (ranked first), M.Sc. from University of Pittsburgh, PA, USA in 1996, and Ph.D. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY, USA in 2002. Neven Biškup obtained his PhD degree in Physics in 1996 at the University of Zagreb, Croatia. His postdoctoral experience includes stays at the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory, Florida State University, FL USA and at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst/Oxford Instruments America, MA, USA. Since 2004 he is affiliated in Spain, first at the Material Science Institute in Madrid (ICMM/CSIC) and then at the Complutense University in Madrid, Spain. In the years 2010-2012 he has specialized in atomic resolution electron microscopy at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, TN, USA. Actually he is Associate Professor at the Complutense University in Madrid. Dr. Neven Biškup has a broad experience in material science. His bachelor degree involved studies of high TC superconductors while his PhD studies shifted toward the organic conductors and superconductors. After that, he has studied materials with strongly correlated electrons (manganites), ferromagnets, ferroelectrics and multiferroics in its bulk form and in the form of thin films. Currently his experience also includes thermoelectrics and photovoltaics. His experimental skills include electrical transport in high magnetic fields at low and ultralow temperatures, magnetization, different resonance techniques (electron paramagnetic resonance and nuclear magnetic resonance) and dielectric spectroscopy. Currently, he is specialized in atomic resolution scanning transmission electron microscopy (STEM) and electron energy loss spectroscopy (EELS)

Silvia Spriano was born on 9th October 1969 in Turin, Italy. She is currently working as an Associate Professor at Dipartimento di Scienza Applicata e Tecnologia (DISAT Dep.), Politecnico di Torino, Turin, Italy. She completed her Master's Degree from Università Degli Studi di Torino in the year 1993. She completed her Ph.D. in Metallurgical Engineering from Politecnico di Torino in the year 1997. She worked as a Junior Lecturer at DISAT - Politecnico di Torino from 2006 – 2008. She worked as a Senior Lecturer at DISAT - Politecnico di Torino from 2008 – 2016. Dr. Cécilia Ménard-Moyonobtainedher PhD in 2005 at Commissariat à l’Energie Atomiqueet aux Energies Alternatives(CEA)/Saclay (France). After a 1-year postdoc at the University of York (UK) and 18 months atNanocyl SA(Belgium), she became a CNRS researcher in 2008in the Laboratory of Immunology, Immunopathology, and Therapeutic Chemistry in Strasbourg (France). Her research interests are focused on the functionalization of carbon-based nanomaterials (carbon nanotubes, graphene, carbon dots) for biomedical applications, the self-assembly of amino acid derivatives and peptides, as well as the formation of hydrogel for on-demand drug delivery. Sheerin Sayed is a postdoctoral researcher in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences, in the University of California, Berkeley and Materials Sciences Division, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. He received a Ph.D. in 2018 and M.Sc. in 2013 from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Purdue University. His research interests include non-volatile memory, magnetism & spintronics, and emerging quantum materials. His research has been recognized with the 2018 Dimitris N. Shadi Nazarian is an Associate Professor at the Stuckeman School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture, at The Pennsylvania State University. She, together with her an interdisciplinary team has achieved novel material interfaces, namely seamless graded transitions between glass and engineered composites of compatible ceramics such as caramelized geopolymer concrete to create structural, insulative, and optical capacity to meet functional requirements, while avoiding the use of numerous materials, mechanical frames, The proposed innovation makes possible novel sustainable practices in production processes and in building performance (i.e., less embodied and operational energy); presents an original and effective solution for building in harsh weather where impermeability between and through surface materials are required; encourages streamlined production and the use of geopolymer composites in the building industry, where the multiple advantages of geopolymer cement over Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) is most obvious. Nazarian and her team are involved in several parallels and interrelated areas of research including design and development of sustainable 3D printable materials, printing systems, and the use of BIM as a framework to explore the interrelationship between numerous aspects and variables in 3D printing technologies and architectural design. The team has earned numerous awards and grants in support of their research most recently award from NASA’s international multi-phase 3D-Printed Habitat challenge competition; Autodesk; Penn state’s Institute of Energy and Environment (PSIEE) and the Material Research Institute (MRI), and Bowers Funds for Excellence in Design and Construction of the Built Environment.

Dr. Saja Al-Ajrashis a Post-Doctoral Research Associate for the University of Dayton, Chemical and Materials Engineering. Her research focus is additive manufacturing of ceramic matrix composites. This involves the synthesis, processing, and characterization of hybrid ceramic materials. Her Ph.D. research at the University of Dayton was mainly about utilizing an innovative process to fabricate hybrid carbon-silicon carbide fibers. The process involves modifying the carbon fiber precursor by doping it with silicon-based materials. Only during her Ph.D., she published more than 5 publications and present at many prestigious conferences. In addition, she has experience in friction stir welding of aluminum 5000 series similar joints and aluminum/ copper dissimilar joints. Dr. Al-Ajrash has served as a peer reviewer for many domestic and international journals.

Lavinia Lupa is currently Associate Professor at University Politehnica Timisoara, Faculty of Industrial Chemistry and Environmental Engineering. She received her PhD degree in Chemical Engineering in 2007. The synthesis of modified materials with ionic liquids and their applications in advanced water treatment technologies (adsorption, photocatalytic processes and membrane separation processes) represent her main domain of research. She has authored over 96 scientific publications and 4 book chapters. She has participated in several international conferences with oral communications and poster presentations. Dr. Guiping Dai works at Nanchang University. His team focuses on the development of next-generation motive power battery technology. Fabiola Pineda graduated in Chemistry from the University of Santiago, Chile (2007). She later completed a Ph.D. degree in materials science engineering (2013) in the same university. She did a postdoctoral study of corrosion in molten salt at high temperatures in the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile (2018). In this field, I have focused my research studies, particularly employing electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and glow discharge optical emission spectroscopy (GDOES) to elucidate the corrosion mechanism of metal materials in extreme conditions for concentrated solar power plants. In this context, she has been the co-author of several publications and participated in various conferences.

Muhammad Saeed received his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Engineering Physics, Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 2017. His Ph.D. research was focused on Thermal hydraulics and safety analysis using different CFD codes. Then he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the “Institute for Advanced Study”, Shenzhen University, Shenzhen, China. He is currently working as an “Associate Professor” at the School of Nuclear Science and Engineering, East China University of Technology, Nanchang, China. He has won the “Chinese Government Scholarship” for his Ph.D. in 2013 and “Distinguish Chinese Postdoctoral Fellowship” for his postdoc in 2017. He has presented his research at an international conference on nuclear energy in 2016 and 2017 held in the USA and China, respectively.

MiryanaHémadi received her Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the Université Paris Diderot in 2004. After 3 post-docs at Collège de France and Universié Paris Diderot, she became Assistant Professor in 2008 and Associate Professor in 2016 after obtaining her Habilitation degree (HDR) at the ITODYS laboratory, Chemistry Department, Université de Paris. Her research focuses on hybrid inorganic and organic nanomaterials, whose excellent physical and chemical properties, as well as their low toxicity, mean that they can be exploited for a wide variety of applications. Functionalization of these nanomaterials increases their efficacy and specificity. In nanomedicine, this is achieved by binding proteins or other biomolecules to their surface so that they can be used for bioimaging, thermal therapy, drug delivery, and targeting. She is developing multidisciplinary research, based on physicochemistry and materials science, in close association with biology and the health field.

ZhigangZang received his PhD degree from Kyushu University in 2011. He joined School of Optoelectronic Engineering, Chongqing University as a professor since 2014. His research interests mainly focus on the synthesis of II-VI, III-V semiconductor materials and their applications in solar cells and light emitting diodes. In 2006, Dr. Maria Antonia Herrero Chamorro obtained the European Ph.D. degree in the UCLM. Her first postdoctoral stay (granted by JCCM) was performed at the University of Graz (Austria) under the supervision of Prof. O. Kappe with the aim of the achievement of a comprehensive and well-design study of the “microwave effect” (published a JOC paper, highly cited). Her second Postdoctoral stay (granted by JCCM) was performed under the supervision of Prof. M. Prato at the University of Trieste on the design of new nanomaterials for application in medicinal chemistry and/or material science. During this second postdoctoral stay, she maintained an active collaboration with the MSOC Nanochemistry group in the UCLM and once she had ended this postdoctoral stay, she joined this group, which uses microwave radiations for the activation of carbon nanostructures in solvent-free conditions, preparing multifunctional derivatives that can serve as versatile synthons in materials science and biological applications. She has authored over 58 scientific publications (H=25), some book chapters, and four scientific patents. She has participated in several international conferences with oral communications and poster presentations. In 2010 she received the award “women for science“ by L'Oreal-UNESCO and in 2011 “Ibn Wafid de Toledo“ Price for young researchers of Castilla-La Mancha. She was selected as “Ramon y Cajal” in 2010. She was promoted to Associate Professor in 2011. Recently, she obtained funding as principal researcher for the integration of carbon nanomaterials in solar cells and the design of new SERS systems based on CNHs by Iberdrola Foundation and the “Exuma. Diputacion de Ciudad Real”, respectively. She is also involved in the prestigious Graphene European Project granted to the MSOC Nanochemistry group. In November of 2018, she was elected as President of the RSEQ of the CLM.

Dr. Junshi Zhang is currently working as a professor at the School Of Aeronautics, Northwestern Polytechnical University, China. He completed his Ph.D. from Xi’an Jiaotong University, China in 2016. He worked as a Senior Research Associate at the City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong from 2012 to 2018. He was a Research Fellow at the University of Electro-Communication in 2019. He has co-authored 30+ books and journals.

Daniel F. Reyes graduated in Physics from the University of Córdoba (2009). He later completed a Master of Science (2011) and Chemical Technology and obtained a Ph.D. degree (2014) at the University of Cadiz, where he is an associate professor in the Materials Science group. He obtained the Ph.D. award granted by the University of Cadiz(2017). Over the years, my research studies have focused on the characterization of materials by transmission electron microscopy techniques, using state-of-the-art microscopes with double aberration correction. I especially analyze the structural properties of nanostructures based on III-V semiconductors with N, Bi, Sb, and/or Al. Initially, he focused on the study of quantum dots and superlattices for the manufacture of lasers in telecommunications. Currently, his motivation has expanded, and he is now studying mainly III-V alloys for solar cells, and more recently, diamond samples for power devices. He has co-authored over 50 publications, 39 of which are indexed in JCR.

Dr. Changsong Xu obtained his bachelor's degree (physics) in 2011 at Lanzhou University, China, and completed his Ph.D. (condensed matter physics) in 2016 at Tsinghua University, China. He is now a research assistant professor at the physics department of the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, US. Dr. Xu's researches focus on multiferroics and topological magnetism, ranging among skyrmions, BKT phases, and quantum spin liquids, using methods of first principles and effective Hamiltonians.

Dr. Barun Kumar Barman received his MS & Ph.D. degree in materials science from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India. Currently, he is a JSPS postdoctoral research fellow in the Photonics Nanoengineering group in the International Center for Materials Nanoarchitectonics at the Notational Institute of Materials Science (NIMS) in Japan. His Ph.D. research work is devoted to the rational design and development of pristine and doped Carbon-based hybrid nanostructures for Earth-abundant and low-cost electrocatalysts for sustainable energy systems. Then, in Japan, his research work motivated him to develop new classes of optical materials, based on nanoscale carbon dots and their derivatives followed by the coupling with photonics cavity for new optical devices. His research interest mostly focuses on the green synthesis of nanomaterials, doping and surface control, and cavity structures for new optical devices.

Anderson Gallego Montoya was born on 6th April 1991 at Medellin, Colombia. He is a professor and researcher at the Institución Universitaria Pascual Bravo and graduated in electromechanical engineering (2014) and a Master of Industrial energy management (2018) from the Instituto Tecnológico Metropolitano, Medellin. Hendrik Heinz is an Associate Professor of Chemical and Biological Engineering at the University of Colorado at Boulder. His research focuses on the simulation of biomaterials and nanomaterials from the nanoscale to the microscale, including catalysis, biomineralization, hydrogels, polymer materials, and corrosion. He develops the Interface force field and a surface model database for the simulation of compounds across the periodic table with high accuracy. He explores new chemiomics and materiomics approaches for reactivity predictions and AI-accelerated materials design. He holds a Ph.D. degree from ETH Zurich in Materials Science and Engineering, an M.S. degree in chemistry, and did postdoctoral work at the Air Force Research Laboratory, Ohio. Dr. Vipin Kumar is currently working as Assistant Professor in the Centre for Energy Studies (CES), Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. He received his doctorate in Materials Science and Engineering from the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Singapore. He worked as a research fellow for over two years at NTU Singapore, where, he developed Nanowires-based gas sensor devices, and scaled up this technology with GDS Instruments Pvt. Ltd., Singapore. He has gone through Lean Launchpad (LLP) program, which is an exercise to bring lab-based research to the technology forefront, at NUS Singapore. He was awarded Inspire Faculty Award from the Department of Science & Technology (DST), India in 2017. To further excel in his career, he moved to the Agency for Science Technology and Research (A*STAR), Singapore in 2017, and worked as a Scientist-I for nearly two years on Metal-anode batteries. Before joining IIT Delhi, he worked with IIT Bhubaneswar as an Assistant Professor in the School of Basic Sciences (SBS). He has contributed to various research projects, including electrochemical energy storage using carbon and oxide-nanomaterials, miniaturized gas sensor devices, and alkali metal anodes for high-performance post-Li ion batteries.

Dr. Rajkumar Velu is currently working as an Assistant Professor at the Indian Institute of Technology, Jammu. Priorly he worked as a Research Fellow at the Centre for Laser Aided Intelligent Manufacturing (CLAIM), University of Michigan, USA. Also, worked as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the Digital Manufacturing and Design Centre (DManD), Singapore University of Technology and Design. He completed his Ph.D. thesis at the Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand in the field of selective laser sintering of specific biopolymer composites. As a result, he has considerable insights and knowledge on different polymer and polymer composite materials specifically used for additive manufacturing. He also has substantial experience in material and component characterization that target specific responses, the evaluation of the complex thermomechanical aspects of powder bed processing, extrusion processing, and post-mortem studies for both mechanical and biological attributes. More than 20 publications were generated from his research activities and received the young scientist award. Dr. Velu’s research interest encompasses a holistic approach that incorporates the design, model and development of additive manufacturing process adopting various composite materials for high-value applications such as the medical and aerospace industry.

My name is Udualdo José Herrera García. i was born on 7 november 1997, Cartagena de Indias (Colombia). I did Chemical Engineering at the University of Cartagena (Cartagena de Indias, Colombia) and expertise in synthesis and characterization of nanomaterials as Fe3O4, CoFe2O4, ZnO, and SiO2 for application in the modification of macrostructures such as carbon and elimination of emergent pollutant such as pesticides. David Hernández Pinilla is a Posdoctoral Researcher at the National Institute for Material Science (NIMS) in Tsukaba, Japan. He received his B.S. degree in Physics and M.S. degree in Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology from Autonomous University of Madrid (Spain), and completed his Ph.D. in the same university under the guidance of Prof. Luisa E. Bausá and Dr. Pablo Molina on the topic of solid-state plasmonic nanolasers. Since the end of 2019, he is currently working in the Photonics Nanoengineering group led by Prof. Tadaaki Nagao at NIMS, Japan. His research focuses on the fabrication of lasers, and spectrally selective thermal emitters and infrared sensors taking advantage of the optical properties of plasmonic and photonic nanostructures.

Sarka Houdkova completed her PhD studies in 2004, focusing on the evaluation of mechanical properties of thermally sprayed coatings. Since then, he has been researching and developing surface layers, applied namely by thermal spraying and laser cladding technologies. The main focus of her professional work is focused on coatings resistant to wear, corrosion and oxidation. She is the author and co-author of more than 40 journal publications and many conference papers. She currently works at the University of West Bohemia and at the Research and Testing Institute in Pilsen, where she leads a research team focused primarily on the development of applications of thermal spray coatings for the power industry. She is a member of the scientific committees of several conferences and represents the Czech Republic in the European Thermal Spray Association.

Professor Xiaobin Chen earned his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in Central South University. His Ph. D. in Road & Railway Engineering has shaped his background on railway infrastructures. During his first four-year career, Chen observed two post-doctoral positions on the research topics of geotechnical engineering. From 2014 to 2015, Dr. Chen moved into the Civil and Environmental Engineering of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). Transportation geotechnics, coarse-grained granular soil, and DEM simulation were his research topics as a hardworking visiting scholar. To deepen his expertise on coarse-grained granular soil, he shifted into a distinguished group at Civil and Environmental Engineering, Pennsylvania State University, as a visiting professor again in 2020. Investing more than 20 years, he has accumulated knowledge for his geotechnical engineering career. After gaining knowledge on transportation geotechnics, he lifted from the back seat to the front to help others how to learn. He joined the Department of Geotechnical Engineering at the Central South University's School of Civil Engineering. With the dedication of teaching, Dr. Chen has released graduate courses in advanced geotechnical techniques for in-site investigation, as well as the undergraduate courses in soil mechanics and engineering geology. He is now supervising the Ph.D. candidate students and M.S. graduate students in a 17-talent group. Dr. Chen has served as a principal investigator on 45 research projects with grants received from National Natural Science Foundation of China, China Railway Corporation, Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, Department of Transportation of Hunan Province, et al. He has many fingers in railway transportation geotechnics and likes to keep his research interests on the coarse-grained granular soil, DEM numerical methods, and soil dynamics. He has authored more than 90 peer-reviewed journal papers, and he has also served as the peer-reviewer for several academic journals including ASCE Journal of Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering, Geotextiles and Geomembranes, Geotechnical Testing Journal, Journal of Transportation Research Record, Transportation Geotechnics, and et al. Dr. Chen's name has been printed three times on government awarded medals for science and technology progress, i.e., the second class award from the Guangdong provincial government, the second class award from the Guangzhou government, and the third class award from Hunan province government. Consequently, he was promoted as a full professor in 2017 and as the department head of geotechnical engineering in 2019. Dr. Chen ties concretely to the ISSMGE as a committee member, and he is also an active affiliate of the Transportation Research Board (TRB) serving the AFP70 for years. Invitation as a committee member of the World Transportation Conference (WTC) is his obligation in 2016. Not everyone knows that Dr. Chen shares his passions on coworking with international professors who show different value and culture.

Prof. Sergey Sokovnin is the head of group of electrophysical technologies, Institute of Electrophysics of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Yekaterinburg, Russia. He has completed a degree of Candidate (1994) and Doctor of Technical Sciences (in Electrophysics) in 2005. He has published more than 110 papers in reputed journals. He developed a method for production of nanopowders, including evaporation of a target by a pulsed electron beam, condensation of the vapor of the material in a low-pressure gas, and deposition of nanopowders on a large cold square crystallizer..

Dr. ZabidinSalleh is an Associate Professor of Pure Mathematics at Universiti Malaysia Terengganu, with consolidated expertise in the topology, fluid dynamics and geometric function theory. He has obtained a PhD degree in Topology from the Universiti Putra Malaysia in 2008.He is a Life Member of the Malaysian Mathematical Sciences Society, and a member of American Mathematical Society. His research interest include bitopology, analytical study of nanofluids, certain classes in geometric function theory, fixed point theory and optimization-conjugate gradient methods.He is a reviewer for several peer-review journals, e.g. Demonstratio Mathematica, Journal of Computational and Applied Mathematics, SainsMalaysiana, Malaysian Journal of Mathematical Sciences, Abstract and Applied Analysis and Mathematical Reviewes. He has been a member of the Editorial Board of several international journals, including Mathematical Problems in Engineering, Discovering Mathematics, Mayfeb Journal of Mathematics, Earthline Journal of Mathematical Sciences andUniversiti Malaysia Terengganu Journal of Undergraduate Research. Currently he is an Editor in Chief of the Journal of Mathematical Sciences and Informatics (UniversitiMalysia Terengganu Publisher), and serves on various grant review committees, such as Fundamental Science Research Grant, Posrgraduate Research Grant, etc.His research interest are in dynamical systems and fluid mechanics which is currently work in carbon nanotubes nanofluidto model and solve nonlinear differential equation. He used the analytical method such as Optimal Homotopic Analysis Method and Homotopic Analysis Method to find the approximate solution of the nonlinear problem and discuss the effect of different parameter for both velocity and temperature profiles. The key focus of his research is on heat transfer which play an important role in industrial product development process.

Dr Francis Gyakwaa is a postdoctoral researcher with the process metallurgy research unit, University of Oulu, Finland. He completed his PhD in 2020 at the University of Oulu as part of the I4Future doctoral programme (under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie H2020). His PhD research investigated Raman spectroscopy's application as a potential characterization technique for studying non-metallic inclusions commonly associated with Al-killed treated with calcium steels. His research interest is in steel cleanliness assessment, such as analyzing non-metallic inclusions found in steels and additionally metallurgical slag composition and structural characterization

May L Martin is a Materials Research Engineer at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in Boulder, United States. She received her B.S. degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Cornell University in 2005, and completed her Ph.D. at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign in 2013. From 2014 to 2016, she was an Alexander von Humboldt post-doctoral research fellow at the Georg August University of Göttingen, Germany. Her research focuses on understanding the fracture processes of metals, especially under conditions of environmental degradation such as hydrogen embrittlement.

PhD student (2nd year) at UTINAM institute at Université de Franche-Comté in Besançon, France.My PhD thesis deals with advanced materials and aim to control colloidal particle assemblies for the formation of controlled porosity films for applications in the field of energy, especially for new generations of batteries. This work is carried out in the Materials and Functional Surfaces (MSF) team of the UTINAM Instituteand deals with the topics of the MSF group concerning the development of new functional materials from colloids functionalized with polymers or surfactants. I am one of the four organizers of the first edition of the international symposium “Materials science symposium 2021” held on online (ZOOM) on the 11th and 12th of May 2021.

Stevan Dimitrijevic is the associate research professor at the University of Belgrade, Innovation Centre of Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy, Belgrade, Serbia. He received his Ph.D. degree (in metallurgy engineering) at Technical Faculty in Bor in 2015. He worked three years as a professional software developer at Copper Institute in Bor, Serbia. His research interests include recycling, electrochemistry, material science, and modeling of physical-chemistry systems. He published over 80 papers, of which more than 30 peer-reviewed papers in Scientific Journals (16 in the Journals on SCI list). In the field of material science, works with non-ferrous alloys (synthesis/design/characterization), micro-powders, and nanopowders of Cu, Ag, Au, PGMs, and others. Recycling the e-waste is an important part of his professional work. Also, work in the field of metal coatings and surface films.

My interest become nano scientist that’s why choose PhD studies, when I studied university joined with my professor as a research.asst, after complete study joined PhD with DST inspire faculty Dr.Rajalakshmi Subramaniyan , I published 3 papers, one main author and two were co-author.
