Andrew Wee is a Class of ’62 Chair Professor of Physicsat the National University of Singapore (NUS).His research interests are in surface and nanoscale science, scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) and synchrotron radiation studies of the molecule-substrate interface, graphene and related 2D materials. He was previously Vice President (University and Global Relations) (2014-2019) and Dean of Science (2007-2014). He was a Commonwealth Fellow as well as a Rhodes Scholar at the University of Oxford, where he received hisreceived his DPhil (1990). He holds a BA and MA in Physics from the University of Cambridge. He is an Associate Editor of the journal ACS Nano, and serves or has served on several other journal editorial boards.

Professor Xiang Zhang is currently the President and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Hong Kong (HKU). Before joining HKU in July 2018, he was the inaugural Ernest S. Kuh Endowed Chair Professor at the University of California, Berkeley, and the Director of the Nano-scale Science and Engineering Center (SINAM). He has also served as the Director of Materials Science Division at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL). Professor Zhang is an elected member of the US National Academy of Engineering (NAE) and Academia Sinica, a foreign member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and a Fellow of the American Physical Society (APS), the Optical Society of America (OSA), the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), and the International Society of Optical Engineering (SPIE). Professor Zhang received his Ph.D. from UC Berkeley (1996), MS from the University of Minnesota, and MS/BS from Nanjing University, China. He was an assistant professor at Pennsylvania State University (1996-1999), an associate professor, and a full professor at UCLA (1999-2004) before joining Berkeley's faculty in 2004. Professor Zhang's current research focuses on materials physics, metamaterials, and nano-photonics. He has published over 340 journal papers including 70 publications in Science and Nature family series. He has given over 330 Keynote, Plenary, and Invited talks at international conferences and institutions. He was a Co-Chair of the NSF Nanoscale Science and Engineering Annual Grantee Conferences in 2004 and 2005 and has served as Chair of the Academic Advisory Board for the Research Center for Applied Science (RCAS), Academia Sinica. In 2008, Professor Zhang's research was selected by Time Magazine as one of the "Top Ten Scientific Discoveries of the Year" and "50 Best Inventions of the Year", Discover Magazine's "Top 100 Science Stories" in 2007, and R&D Magazine's Top 25 Most Innovative Products of 2006. His research has been frequently featured in international media, including the BBC, CNN, ABC, New York Times, and Wall Street Journal. More recently, his research team’s work on the “Casimir effect” at UC Berkeley was selected as one of the Top 10 Breakthroughs for 2019 by Physics World. Professor Zhang is a recipient of the NSF CAREER Award (1997), the SME Dell K. Allen Outstanding Young Engineer Award (1998), and the ONR Young Investigator Award (1999). He was awarded the Chancellor's Professorship by UC Berkeley (2004-2009), named Rohsenow Lecturer at MIT (2009) and William Reynolds Lecturer at Stanford (2012), and in 2017, chosen for the Pearsall Distinguished Lecture at Duke, the Hall Engineering Lecture at Vanderbilt, and the Towers Distinguished Lecture at Michigan Tech. In 2011, he was awarded the Fred Kavli Distinguished Lectureship by the Materials Research Society (MRS), the Miller Professorship by UC Berkeley, and named Distinguished Visiting Scientist (DVS) by the University of Toronto. He was awarded the Fitzroy Medal in 2014, the Charles Russ Richards Memorial Award in 2015, the Max Born Award from the Optical Society of America in 2016, the Julius Springer Prize for Applied Physics in 2016, the Excellence Award in Scientific Leadership in 2016, and the A. C. Eringen Medal from the Society of Engineering Science in 2017.

Prof. Shen Zexiang is a Professor of Physics. He is Associate Dean for interdisciplinary research, Graduate College, Nanyang Technological University. He is also Co-Director, Centre for Disruptive Photonic Technologies. He also holds a joint appointment at the School of Materials Science and Engineering. His current research work involves the spectroscopic and theoretical study of graphene, 2D materials, and hybrid perovskites using ultra Low wavenumber Raman spectroscopy, photoluminescence, and time-resolved spectroscopy in combination with high pressure and low temperature. He is the winner of the NTU Nanyang Award for Research and Innovation, Gold Medal for Research Excellence by the Institute of Physics Singapore, Honorary Professor of Moscow State University. He is a Global Highly Cited Researcher with more than 42,000 citations and H index 101.

Dr. Jun Chen is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Bioengineering, University of California, Los Angeles. His current research focuses on nanotechnology and bioelectronics for energy, sensing, environment, and therapy applications in the form of smart textiles, wearables, and body area sensor networks. He has already published 2 books, 130 journal articles and 85 of them are as first/corresponding authors in Chemical Reviews, Nature Energy, Nature Electronics, Nature Sustainability, Nature Communications, Joule, Matter, and many others. His works were selected as Research Highlights by Nature and Science6 times and covered by world mainstream media, including NPR, ABC, NBC, Reuters, CNN, The Wall Street Journal‎, Scientific American, and Newsweek, for over 1,000 times in total. He also filed 14 US patents and licensed 1. Beyond research, he is currently an Associate Editor of Biosensors and Bioelectronics, and an Editorial Board Member of Advanced Fiber Materials, Nano-Micro Letters, Frontiers in Pharmacology, Frontiers in Chemistry, Textiles, Biosensors, and Smart Materials in Medicine. With a current h-index of 65, he was identified to be one of the world’s most influential researchers in the field of Materials Science by the Web of Science Group, and on the global list of The Highly Cited Researchers 2019.

Lorenzo Pavesi is a Professor of Experimental Physics at the Department of Physics of the University of Trento (Italy). Born on the 21st of November 1961, he received his Ph.D. in Physics in 1990 at the Ecole Polytechnique Federale of Lausanne (Switzerland). In 1990 he became Assistant Professor, an Associate Professor in 1999, and Full Professor in 2002 at the University of Trento. He leads the Nanoscience Laboratory (25 people), teaches several classes at the Department of Physics of the University of Trento. He founded the research activity in semiconductor optoelectronics at the University of Trento and started several laboratories of photonics, growth, and advanced treatment of materials. He was the first president and founder of the IEEE Italian chapter on Nanotechnology. He has directed 37 Ph.D. students and more than 30 Master thesis students. His research activity concerned the optical properties of semiconductors. During the last years, he concentrated on Silicon-based photonics where he looks for the convergence between photonics and electronics. He is interested in active photonic devices which can be integrated with silicon by using optical nonlinearities and modified material properties. His interests encompass also optical sensors or biosensors and solar cells. The recent development is toward integrated quantum photonics and neuromorphic photonics. In silicon photonics, he is one of the worldwide recognized experts, he organized several international conferences, workshops, and schools and is a frequently invited speaker. He manages several research projects, both national and international. He is an ERC grantee. He is a frequently invited reviewer, monitor, or referee for photonics projects by several grant agencies. He is an author or co-author of more than 500 papers, author of several reviews, editor of more than 15 books, author of 2 books and holds 7 patents. He is chief specialty editor of the section Optics and Photonics of Frontiers in Physics and founding editor of the series Photonic Materials and Applications, a joint initiative of SPIE and Elsevier. Moreover, he sits on the editorial board of the ETRI Journal and of the journals Sensors and Applied Sciences: Optics and Lasers. He is on the advisory board of Glass-to-Power and of Sybilla, two Italian start-ups. In 2001 he was awarded the title of Cavaliere by the Italian President for scientific merit. In 2010 and 2011 he was elected distinguished speaker of the IEEE- Photonics society. He is a fellow of the IEEE, of SPIE, and the SIF. He holds an H-number of 59 according to Scopus and Web of Science, and 71 according to Google Scholar.

Bahram Jalali is the Director of the Photonics Laboratory, the Fang Lu Endowed Chair in Engineering and Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at UCLA with joint appointments in Biomedical Engineering, and the California NanoSystems Institute (CNSI). He received his Ph.D. in Applied Physics from Columbia University in 1989 and was with the Physics Research Division of Bell Laboratories in Murray Hill, New Jersey until 1992 before joining UCLA. He is a Fellow of IEEE, OSA, APS, AIMBE, and SPIE. He is the recipient of the R.W. Wood Prize from the Optical Society of America for the first silicon layer, the Aaron Kressel Award from IEEE, and the Achievement Medal from IET (U.K), and the Pioneer in Technology Award from the Society of Brain Mapping & Therapeutics. Bahram was the Founder and CEO of Cognet Microsystems, a semiconductor IC company acquired by Intel in 2001. He was elected into the Scientific American Top 50 and MIT Technology Review Magazine Top 10.

Sean Smith is Director of the Australian National Computational Infrastructure (NCI) and conjointly Professor of computational nanomaterials science and technology at the Australian National University. He has extensive theoretical and computational research experience in chemistry, nanomaterials, and nano-bio science and technology. He returned to Australia in 2014 at UNSW Sydney, founding and directing the Integrated Materials Design Centre to drive an integrated program of materials design, discovery, and characterization. Before this, he directed the US Department of Energy-funded Center for Nanophase Materials Sciences (CNMS) at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, one of five major DOE nanoscience research and user facilities in the US, through its 2011-2013 triennial phase. During his earlier career, he joined The University of Queensland as junior faculty in 1993; became Professor and Director of the Centre for Computational Molecular Science 2002-2011; and was a group leader at the Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology (AIBN, 2006-2011). Sean has published over 300 refereed journal papers with more than 22000 citations. He is Fellow of the Royal Australian Chemical Institute (RACI); recipient of both the Fellowship and the Bessel Research Award of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation in Germany; Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) and Fellow of the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE). He received his Ph.D. in theoretical chemistry from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand, in 1989.

Prof. Guy Le Lay, now Emeritus Professor at Aix-Marseille University in France, graduated as an Engineer at the School of Mines in Nancy (France) in 1968.In Marseille (France) he got two Doctorates, one doctorate in Engineering (1972), and the second one in Physics (1977) at the University of Provence. For a number of years, he was a Member of the National Committee of all French Universities. He has been the French PI of the European Collaborative Project “Two-Dimensional Nanolattices”. Presently, he is especially working on new synthetic Xenes: silicene, germanene, stanene, and plumbing, graphene’scousins; he pioneered the synthesis of silicene (2012) and germanene (2014) in Marseille;nextplumbenewas realized in 2019 in Nagoya, Japan, with Prof.JunjiYuhara. He is also an expert in Synchrotron Radiation, serving for eight years as a member of theEuropean Round Table on Synchrotron Radiation and Free Electron Lasers. He has also collaborated with the European Space Agency and the NASA as co-PI of the Mercuric Iodide Crystal Growth experiment inside the First International Microgravity Laboratory (IML-1) onboard the Discovery shuttle, (flight in January 1992). During his career, he has chaired and organized a large number of international Schools, Workshops and Conferences and served in many UNESCO, NATO, EC, international, national and regional panels and expert committees. Recently,he was Member of the first Editorial Board of the IOP journal “Two Dimensional Materials” after other scientific journals.

Jimmy Xu is currently a professor of engineering and physics and the holder of the Charles C Tillinghast Jr. 1932 University Professorship at Brown University, USA. He received several prizes/awards, was elected Fellow of AAAS, APS, IEEE, IOP, and Guggenheim, and was appointed Distinguished Visiting Scientist of NASA JPL, Distinguished Visiting Professor of POSTECH, and World-Class University Professor of Seoul National University, Korea, etc, and advisory boards of government labs and companies. Before coming to Brown in 1999, he served as the James Ham Chair Professor at the University of Toronto and the Director of Nortel Institute of Telecommunications.

Prof. L. Q. Wang received his Ph.D. from the University of Alberta, Canada, and is currently a Chair Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, the University of Hong Kong (HKU). He also serves as the Director and the Chief Scientist for the Laboratory for Nanofluids and Thermal Engineering at the Zhejiang Institute of Research and Innovation (HKU-ZIRI), the University of Hong Kong. Prof. Wang has over 20 years of university experience in transport phenomena, materials, nanotechnology, biotechnology, energy & environment, thermal & power engineering, and mathematics, and ~2 years of industry experience in technology and IP development/management/transfer as the Chief Scientist & the Global CTO. In addition to 6 authored scholarly monographs/books, 4 edited scholarly monographs, 5 book chapters, 70+ keynote lectures at international conferences, and 160+ invited lectures in universities/industries/organizations, Prof. Wang has published 470+ papers, many of which have been widely used by researchers all over the world, and been ranked amongst the top 1% of most-cited scientists according to Clarivate Analytics' Essential Science Indicator. Prof. Wang has also filed 30+ patents/software copyrights, and developed, with an international team consisting of about 100 scientists and engineers, a state-of-the-art thermal control system for the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer (AMS) on the International Space Station (ISS) that ensures AMS and all its sub-detectors working at their designed temperatures ± 1 ℃for an environment temperature variation from -40 ℃ to 60 ℃ every 90 minutes. Prof. Wang’s work has been widely featured by local, national, and international media, and received recognition through several awards, including the 2018 TechConnect Global Innovation Award, the 2018 Silver Medal of the International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva, the 2017 OSA Innovation Award, the 2016 First Outstanding Achievement Award of Hangzhou Oversea Scholars, the 2012 Qianren (Zhejiang) Chair Professorship, and the 2010 Taishan Chair Professorship, among others.

Olga Korotkova (OK) has received her B.S. in Applied Mathematics from the Samara State University (Russia) in 1999 and her M.S. and Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Central Florida, FL, in 2002 and 2003, respectively. She worked at the University of Rochester, NY, with Prof. Emil Wolf from 2004 to 2007 until she joined the Department of Physics, University of Miami, FL as an Assistant Professor. OK was promoted to Associate Professor in 2012 and Full Professor in 2018. She published more than 200 research papers and 2 monographs on classical statistical optics. OK's immediate research interests are in structured coherence states of light and the interaction of optical fields with turbulent natural media: atmosphere, oceans, and soft biological tissues. She is an OSA Fellow.

Dr. Xiaosheng Fang is a professor in the Department of Materials Science at Fudan University, China. He received his Ph.D. degree from the Institute of Solid State Physics (ISSP), Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2006. After then, he was a JSPS postdoctoral fellow at the National Institute for materials Science, Japan, as well as a research scientist at the International Center for YoungScientists (ICYS). He was a visiting scholar at MIT and Harvard University in 2009 and 2016, respectively. His current research topic mainly focuses on inorganic semiconductors and high-performance photodetectors. He is listed as Highly Cited Researcher in Materials Science 2014.

Gunter Larisch received the Diploma (M.sc. equivalent) degree in applied physics from the Technische Universität Berlin, Germany, in 2011 and a Ph.D. in science in 2017. 2017-18 he worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Technische Universität Berlin, Germany. In 2018 he accepted an Associate Professorship at the “Bimberg Chinese-German Center for Green Photonics” at the Chinese Academy of Sciences and as head of its High-Frequency Lab. He still is a guest scientist at Technische Universität Berlin, Germany. The number of publications is 42 with a Hirsch factor of 18.

Prof. Fromhold is Head of the School of Physics and Astronomy at The University of Nottingham, UK. He graduated in Physics from the University of Durham in 1986 and was awarded his Ph.D. from The University of Nottingham in 1990 for studies of quantum transport in III-V semiconductor heterostructures. Following postdoctoral research at the University of Warwick on heat and charge transport in MOSFET transistors, Professor Fromhold was appointed Senior Medical Physicist at Lincoln County Hospital, where he worked on the development and clinical application of brain mapping and electrophysiology. From 1995 to 2000, Fromhold held an EPSRC Advanced Research Fellowship, focusing on the quantum properties of semiconductor nanostructures and ultra-cold atoms – including how to integrate them in hybrid quantum systems. During this time he held visiting positions at the University of New South Wales and the National Research Council Canada. Professor Fromhold was appointed Lecturer in Physics at The University of Nottingham in 2000, with promotion to Reader in 2002 and Professor in 2004. Building on his research at the interface between solid-state and ultra-cold atom physics, Fromhold led the £9 million 2006 EPSRC/ HEFCE Science and Innovation Award to establish the Midlands Ultracold Atom Research Centre (MUARC). This joint venture between the universities of Birmingham and Nottingham provides an interdisciplinary environment for cold atom-based quantum science and technologies. From 2014-2019, he led the “Atomics” work of the UK Quantum Technology Hub for Sensors and Metrology, on the development of miniaturized solid-state components for cold atom-based quantum sensors. This included work on the use of graphene to trap and manipulate cold atom clouds. Since 2013, Fromhold has worked on the quantum properties of graphene and van der Waals heterostructures comprising layers of 2D materials. He has focussed on understanding quantum tunneling between 2D layers, including the effects of chirality on the tunneling rates and the prospects of using van der Waals heterostructures for high-frequency electronics. Prof. Fromhold’s current research interests also include the development and integration of electronic, cold atom, and optical systems as components for quantum sensors. Working with Dstl and the National Physical Laboratory, and exploiting results from previous EPSRC and Innovate UK projects, he is presently investigating the use of advanced materials, additive manufacturing, and quantum electronics in next-generation atom chips for cold atom sensors.

Ya-Hong Xie obtained the B.Sc. degree in physics from Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN, in 1981, and the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA), Los Angeles, in 1983 and1986, respectively. He was a member of the technical staff in the Physical Sciences andEngineering Research Division, Bell Laboratories from 1986 till 1999. In 1999, he joined the faculty of UCLA as a Professor in the Department of materials science and engineering where he currently serves as vice-chair for undergraduate studies. He has authored and coauthored over 190 technical articles and is the holder of 38 US patents as well as several patents of other countries including Korea, Japan, and China. His current research interests include plasmon resonance and machine learning-enabled bio-sensing, and lattice-mismatched heterostructures including group III-nitrides. Dr. Xie is a fellow of IEEE. He is the winner of the 2012 Research Award of Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and the Inventor Recognition Award of Semiconductor Research Corporation. He had been a visiting scientist of IHP, the Leibniz Association Germany Institutfür Innovative Mikroelektronik, and is a nominator for the prestigious Japan Prize Foundation. He is an active member of the science and technology community spanning the fields of semiconductor and biomedical technologies. He served as the Chair of the Electronic Materials Committee of IEEE Electron Device Society between 2016-2018.

Sasan Fathpour is a Professor at CREOL, The College of Optics and Photonics at the University of Central Florida (UCF). He received a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 2005. His current research interests include heterogeneously integrated photonics, nonlinear integrated optics, silicon photonics, and unconventional photonic platforms operating in the mid-wave- and near-infrared and visible wavelength ranges. His CREOL team’s research has been highlighted in Nature Photonics, Optics and Photonics News, Laser Focus World, photonics.com, and several other trade magazines and professional websites. Prof. Fathpour has received the US National Science Foundation(NSF) CAREER Award (2012) and the Office of Naval Research(ONR) Young Investigator Program Award (2013). He has been Guest Editor of SPIE’s Journal of Nanophotonics (2014-15), Symposium Co-Chair of the 2015 Materials Research Society (MRS) Fall Meeting, and Chair (2014-2016) and Vice-Chair (2012-2014) of Short Courses at the Conference on Lasers and Electrooptics, CLEO. He has been a technical program committee member of several conferences, including CLEO (2016-18) and Frontiers in Optics (FiO 2016), IEEE International Conference on Electron Devices and Solid-State Circuits (EDSSC) (2017), IEEE Photonics Society Summer Topicals Meeting Series (2017), IEEE Electron Devices Society (EDS) (2017–2019), and European MRS (2019). Prof. Fathpour is a co-author of over 180 publications, including about 40 invited journal papers and conference presentations, 6 book chapters, and 3 patents. He co-edited the book Silicon Photonics for Telecommunications and Biomedicine, CRC Press (2012). He is the co-founder of Partow Technologies, LLC. He is a Fellow of OSA, a Senior Member of IEEE and SPIE, and a Member of MRS.

Dr. Cunjiang Yu is the Bill D. Cook Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Houston. He studied his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at Arizona State University (2007-2010) and did his postdoc at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (2010-2013) before joining the faculty of the University of Houston. He has received numerous awards, such as the NSF CAREER Award, NIH Trailblazer Award, ONR Young Investigator Award, MIT Technology Review Top Innovators of China, SME Outstanding Young Manufacturing Engineer Award, AVS Young Investigator Award, etc.

Dr. Santhosh Kumar Dhavala is an alumnus of Andhra University. Dr. Santhosh Kumar Dhavala is an innovative professional offering extensive experience of more than 15 years in teaching and research & development; a Qualified Ph.D. in Physics (Nano Technology), backed by M. Sc. in Electronics and B.Sc. in Physics, Mathematics, and Electronics from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, India. He was DST-“Research Fellow” while doing his Ph.D. Currently working as Professor in Physics, GayatriVidyaParishad College for Degree and PG Courses (A), Visakhapatnam. He is Editor-in-chief in International Journal of Advanced Research in Science and Technology (JUST), International Journal of Advanced Research in Social Sciences (IJARSS) and Reviewer, Journal of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science, Journal of Nano Science. Joseph Poon is William Barton Rogers Professor of Physics and Professor of Materials Science by courtesy at the University of Virginia. He received his B.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the California Institute of Technology and performed postdoctoral work at Stanford University. He became an assistant professor of physics at UVa in 1980 and a professor in 1987. He chaired the physics department from 2010 to 2018. In his earlier work, he studied superconductivity and magnetism in amorphous metals and quasicrystals. His current research projects focus on the experimental and computational investigation of thermoelectric materials, high-entropy alloys, and magnetic thin films. His studies aim to advance materials design and understand structural-property relationships. His publication record includes more than 260 publications and an h-index of 68. He is a Fellow of the American Physical Society and APS Outstanding Referee and was named Scientific American 50 for the discovery of amorphous steel. In 2020, he received the Jesse Wakefield Beams Research Award of the Southeastern Section of APS.

Yuhwa Lo received his PhD in electrical engineering from UC Berkeley. He is William SC Chang Professor of UC San Diego and the Director of the San Diego Nanotechnology Infrastructure (SDNI), an NSF sponsored center within the National Nanotechnology Coordinated Infrastructure (NNCI). He has (co)authored over 500 papers and been awarded 43 patents in the areas of semiconductor materials and technologies, optoelectronic and biophotonic devices, biomedical devices and systems, microfluidics and lab-on-chip devices. He is a fellow of the IEEE and the Optical Society of America.

Dr. Liu Hong obtained his M. Eng and Ph.D. from the Dept of Mechanical Engineering of the National University of Singapore. He has joined the Institute of Materials Research and Engineering, Agency for Science, Technology and Research Singapore since 2003. His research interest is mainly focused on the development of advanced nanopatterning technologies for tunable metasurfaces and nanophotonics devices, artificially engineered materials and nanoplasmonics, optical nanolithography, etc. Currently, Dr. Liu Hong is heading the Nanofabrication Department in IMRE to advance the science and engineering of structured materials at micro and nanoscale and offer nanofabrication R&D services.

Antonio Abateis team leader at the Helmholtz-Centrum Berlin in Germany, Associate Professor at University of Naples Federico II in Italy, and Visiting Professor at Fuzhou University in China. He is researching solar energy conversion with halide perovskites. Before the current position, Antonio was leading the solar cell research at the University of Fribourg in Switzerland. He was a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow at École PolytechniqueFédérale de Lausannewithin the group of Prof. Grätzel. He worked for four years as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Oxford under the supervision of Prof. Snaith and the University of Cambridge under the supervision of Prof. Steiner. Antonio graduated summa cum laude from the University of Naples Federico II in 2006, and he got his Ph.D. summa cum laude at Politecnico di Milano in 2011 under the supervision of Prof. Resnati and Prof.Metrangolo

Konstantin A. Zvezdin graduated from the Physics Department of Lomonosov Moscow State University (1998) and defended his Ph.D. thesis at the Prokhorov General Physics Institute of RAS (2001). Currently, he works at the theoretical department of Prokhorov GPI RAS on fundamental and applied aspects of spintronics. He leads an applied spintronic project of the Russian QuantumCenter and teaches at Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. He is a board member of the Russian Magnetic Society, of the Asian Union of Magnetics Societies, and the Italian research center “Torino e-district.”

Karlheinz Blankenbach has three decades of experience in displays. From 1988 until 1995 he was with AEG-MIS (a DAIMLER subsidiary) in Germany, developing display electronics, e-signage LCDs, and software. In 1995 he was appointed to full professor at Pforzheim University, Germany, where he founded the university's Display Lab. His main R&D activities are (automotive) display topics such as optical measurements, display systems, evaluations, HMI, and LEDs, as well as display hardware and software. Blankenbach is a member of the Society for Information Display’s program subcommittee, Automotive/Vehicular Displays and HMI Technologies, and a member of SID’s International Committee for Display Metrology. He has served as a member of the board of the Displayforum (DFF) since 2000; after nine years as chairman he was appointed to honorary chairman in 2020. Since its foundation in 2016, Karlheinz and the Display Lab are active members of the ISELED alliance (https://iseled.com/) for next generation automotive LEDs both for interior and external lighting applications.

Professor Yury Geints completed his Ph.D. from Tomsk State University, Russia, and has been working at the position of science associate in the Wave Propagation Department at V.E. Zuev Institute of Atmospheric Optics, Russia. His area of research includes nanophotonics, 3D and 2D metamaterials, high-power laser physics.

Yu-Lin Song received the M.S. degree in the department of physics from National Tsing Hua University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, in 1998 and the Ph.D. degree in the department of physics from National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan, in 2005. I am currently a professor in the Department of Bioinformatics and Medical Engineering at the Asia University since Feb. 2016, with a research focus on “Ultrasound imaging in medicine and biology”, “Semiconductor Biosensor”, “Power device design and simulation technology” and “Medicine Delivery Process Technologies”. He has published more than 30 papers in reputed journals and has been serving as an editorial board member of repute.

Prof. Rose joined the institute of chemistry at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel in 2008. His research combines molecular-level design and surface chemistry in the context of nanoscience and materials science. His main research interests focus on the design and synthesis of hybrid nanostructures for photocatalysis, electrical & optical applications, and energy harvesting. His group study atomic and molecular layer deposition schemes, nanowire synthesis, hybrid nanostructures, ex-situ doping of nanostructures, nanostructure array assembly, and comprehensive application of characterization techniques. Prof. Yerushalmi received a starting grant from the ERC (European Research Council), the Krill Prize from the Wolf Foundation, the career development award from the Human Frontier Science Program, and the Kennedy prize.

Hongyu Yu received his BSc, MSc, and PhD from Tsinghua University, University of Toronto, and National University of Singapore, respectively. He is currently the Professor and Dean of School of Microelectronics, Southern University of Science and Technology, Shenzhen, China. His current research interests include integrated circuit technology and devices, CMOS, new ultra-high density memory, GaN device and system integration (GaN HEMT).

Dr. Rachid Sbiaa is a Full Professor at Sultan Qaboos University since 2012. He obtained his Ph.D. in 1996 from Paris University in the field of Materials Science. After his graduation, he worked as a research fellow in the laboratory of magnetism and thin films, CNRS (France). In 2002 he joined the research center of TDK Co. in Japan to work on spintronics and magnetoresistive sensors. His research work was on the design of magnetoresistive head sensors for hard disk drives and devices for magnetic memory. In June 2006 he joined the Data Storage Institute in Singapore where he was acting as Program leader for STT-MRAM. Dr. Rachid expertise is in nanoelectronic devices and magnetic materials. He owned about 50 patents in the field of magnetoresistive devices for spintronics applications and published more than 120 scientific papers.

Graduated in Physics from the Federal University of Goiás (1981), Masters in Ceramics Science and Engineering - The State University of New Jersey (1992), Masters in Solid State Physics from the Federal University of Pernambuco (1986) and Ph.D. in Physics of Materials - University of Oxford (1996). He is currently Associate Professor III at the Federal University of Goiás (IF-UFG), Brazil. He has experience in Condensed Matter Physics, with an emphasis on preparation and characterization of Multifunctional Materials and studies of the magnetic and dielectric properties of oxide-based materials.

Gian Paolo Papari is currently a researcher and lecturer at Physics Department in Napoli (Italy). He got his degree in 2006 and his Ph.D. in 2009 on transport in superconducting nanostructures. He has been a fellow at ScuolaNormaleSuperiore di Pisa (Italy) and at INPAC in Leuven (Belgium). His expertise in superconductivity focuses on the vortex matter in mesoscopic samples and the Josephson effect in high and low critical temperature superconductors.Time-dependent THz spectroscopy is becoming its main research topicforinvestigating the electrodynamics of novel materials and metamaterials. In particular, he is studying the dielectric functions of new compounds graphene-based along with oxides like titanium or zinc-based.His work on metasuperficies is regarding the manipulation and control of electrodynamic properties of diluted metals with particular interest to the change of plasma frequency for the realization of meta platform for enhanced sensing and imaging.The last works are based on the realization and characterization of Laser ablated metasuperficies. The technique has been applied to design and fabricate either standard Metallo-dielectric or diamond/graphite structures

Frédéric Dumas-Bouchiat is currently a full Professor of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Limoges (France). He received his Ph.D. in Applied Physics from Limoges University in 2005 and was with the Research &Development Division of ST-Microelectronics in Tours until Sept. 2007. At this date, he was recruited at the Néel Institute inside the Micro and Nano-Magnetism group and was an associated professor in physics at the Grenoble Alpes University. Since Sept. 2012, FDB is working at theUniversity of Limoges, Department of Physics and IRCER laboratory inside the thin films and nanostructures’ group, on the development of advanced functional oxide thin films and nanocomposite materials for optoelectronic and magnetic applications using nanosecond laser irradiation- (or sputtering-) based processes.FDB published more than 50 papers in internationally reputed journals (Nat. com., Phys. Rev. Appl., Sci. Rep.), gave 20 invited talks, and serve as an editorial board member of the Journal of Composites Science.

Ahmed Mourtada Elseman, he is obtained his B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. in Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry from Faculty of Science, Al-Azhar University, Egypt. He was awarded his Ph.D. in the field of perovskite solar cells (February 2017). Also, he obtained two diplomae from Inner Mongolia Institute of Scientific and Technological, Hohhot, China 2015, and the second one from the Institute of New Energy, Wuhan, China, 2017. He works as Research Assistant Professor at the Department of Electronic and Magnetic Materials, Central Metallurgical Research & Development Institute (CMRDI), Egypt. He is awarded Talent Young Scientific (TYSP) Postdoctoral Research Fellow position funded by the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), Beijing, China, 2017-2018. Then, he received a lecturer position in the School of Materials and Energy, Southwest University, Chongqing. China (2018 – 2020). He is awarded the CMRDI prize for excellence scientific publication (2018). He is awarded the 1st classification in Africa and Egypt in the field of low-cost perovskite solar cell research through the SciVal Analyzer website, 2020. His current research focuses on understanding the mechanisms, fundamental properties, and developing scalable protocols for high-efficiency perovskite solar cells. He is a reviewer and member of the editorial board for some journals.

Farid Medjdoubis acres a senior scientist and leads a team focused on wide bandgap material and devices IEMN in France since 2014. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical engineering from the University of Lille in 2004. Then, he moved to the University of Ulm in Germany as a research associate before joining IMEC as a senior scientist in 2008. Multiple state-of-the-art results have been realized in the frame of his work. Among others, world record thermal stability up to 1000°C for a field-effect transistor, the best combination of cut-off frequency/breakdown voltage or highest lateral GaN-on-silicon breakdown voltage using a local substrate removal has been achieved. His research interests are the design, fabrication, characterization, and simulation of innovative wide bandgap devices. He is the author and co-author of more than 170 papers in this field. He holds several patents deriving from his research. He serves as an Editor for the Superlattices and Microstructures journal. He is also a reviewer for various journals and is a TPC member in several conferences. He is part of the H2020 review panel for wide bandgap-specific calls. Starting from 2019, he is leading the Nitride power activities within the French national network called GaNexT.

Rawaa A. Faris was born in Baghdad. She received the B.Sc. degree in Science of Chemistry from the University of Baghdad, 2005, and the M.Sc. degree in laser Applications in chemistry from the Institute of Laser For Postgraduate Studies, University of Baghdad, 2009. In 2010, she joined ILPS, UOB, as Assistant Lec., and in 2014 became a Lecturer. Zhaoyang Zhang is a Professor in the School of Electronic Science and Engineering, Xi’an Jiaotong University, China. He has been engaged in the research of atomic physics, nonlinear optics, and optical properties of photonic lattices with in situ reconfigurability in coherently-prepared multi-level atomic systems. Recently, he mainly works on dynamic behaviors of light in electromagnetically induced photonic lattice based on atomic coherence in atomic vapors.

Francesco Rossella is Assistant Professor of Experimental Condensed Matter Physics at the Faculty of Sciences of the ScuolaNormaleSuperiore in Pisa, Italy, and scientific responsible of the Magneto Transport Laboratory at the NEST Initiative of ScuolaNormaleSuperiore.Currently, his research interests include Iontronicnanodevices: ion-gated nanowire transistors; Electronic and thermal transport in nanostructures, nanoscale thermoelectrics, single-electron devices; nanowire-based systems and devices, including metamaterials; Semiconductor and hybrid metal-semiconductor nanostructures, carbon-based nanomaterials; Spectroscopies (transport, light scattering, optical), also at low temperature, also in the magnetic field. Born on the 26th of November 1977, he received his Ph.D. in Physics in 2007 at the University of Pavia (Italy). From 2012 to 2016 he was a post-doc at the NEST Laboratory of the ScuolaNormaleSuperiore, Pisa, Italy. There, he worked in the nanofabrication and characterization of semiconductor nanowire platforms for thermoelectrics, single-electron devices, nano-optoelectronics. From 2009 to 2012, as a post-doc at TU München (Germany) and University of Pavia and visitor of many European research centers and institutions, FR worked on thin films for transparent spintronics, experimentally investigated aspects of the quantum-Hall physics in semiconductor heterostructures and graphene, and explored novel functionalities of carbon-based nanostructured materials, realizing experiments of transport and luminescence/light scattering spectroscopy. Rosine COQ GERMANICUSwas born in Schoelcher, Martinique (France). After a university degree in physics at Guadeloupe, Rosine Coq Germanicus received her doctoral thesis at the University Montpellier 2 (France), under the direction of Professor Jean Fesquet, in space radiation effects on optoelectronic devices. She joined for one year the team of the Centre National d’EtudesSpatiales (CNES) at Toulouse, where she initiated the development of a radiation testing guide for onboard devices. Since 2003, at the University of Caen, she is an associate professor in the CRISMAT laboratory. She has already published 25 articles in internationally repute journals. Her current research activity focuses on scanning probe microscopy for microelectronics and radiation effects. Its research fields are included in nano-electrical, nano-mechanical characterizations, and reliability of integrated semiconductor devices.

Mamoru Endo was born in Kanagawa, Japan, in 1987. He received the B.S, M.S, and Ph.D. degrees in applied physics from the University of Tokyo, in 2011, 2013, and 2016 respectively. He worked for the Institute for Solid State Physics, Japan, and the Department of Physics, University of Colorado, the USA as a research associate. Now, he is a research associate at the University of Tokyo, Japan. His current interest in continuous-variable quantum information processing toward large-scale fault-tolerant quantum computation. He is a member of the Optical Society of America (OSA) and the Japan Society of Applied Physics (JSAP).

Dong Chan Lim received his Ph.D. degree in Cluster Physics from the Konstanz University, Germany in 2007. He is a head of Nano Technology Innovation Center and principal researcher of Department of energy & electronic materials at the Korea Institute of Materials Science (KIMS), R. O. Korea. His main research interests are in photovoltaics and related flexible electronic materials, e.g., quantum cluster, transparent electrode, and etc. In addition, his research interests also include photo-electrochemical devices and hybrid energy conversion materials to create clean and sustainable hydrogen energy and water.

Pawel Scharoch (PhD hab. eng.). Masahiro Nomurais an Associate Professor at the Institute of Industrial Science, The University of Tokyo. He received a Ph.D. degree in Applied Physics in 2005, respectively, from The University of Tokyo. His current research interests include hybrid quantum science, physics and controlling technology of phonon/heat transport in semiconductor nanostructures, and energy harvesting by thermoelectrics. The concept of his current research is “from photonics to phononics” using phononic crystals, which have some physical analogy with photonic crystals. He published over 100 refereed journal articles, and he has over 200 international conference presentations including over 50 invited talks.

Hansong Xue obtained his B.Sc. with 1st class honors in Mathematics at the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2009, followed by a double M.Sc. (both by research) in Applied Mathematics at NUS and in Chemistry at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in 2011 and 2015, respectively. Afterward, He received his Ph.D. in Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering at NUS in 2019. Currently, he is a research fellow and team leader for the thin-film device modeling team in the Solar Energy Research Institute of Singapore (SERIS). His research so far has been multi-disciplinary, touching upon areas such as fluid-structure interactions, optical modeling, computational chemistry, reaction kinetics for mechanistic study, transport phenomena, machine learning/artificial intelligence, with applications in solar photovoltaics, mainly on perovskite and organic solar cells, perovskite on silicon or III-V tandem device, as well as in fuel cells, bioimpedance, and flow photochemistry.

Dr. Moumita Mukherjee is an alumnus of Presidency College and Calcutta University. Dr. Mukherjee received M.Sc. (Physics) degree with a specialization in Electronics and Communication, M.Tech. Degree in Biomedical-Engineering and Ph.D. (Tech.) degree in Radio Physics and Electronics (2009), University of Calcutta, India. She was DRDO-“Senior Research Fellow” and in continuation to that Post Doctoral “Research Associate – I” under DRDO, Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India. Dr. Jaya Madan is currently an Assistant Professor (Research) at Chitkara University Research and Innovation Network (CURIN) Department of Chitkara University, Punjab, India. She received her B.Sc. (H) and M.Sc. degrees in Electronics from the University of Delhi, India, in 2011 and 2013 respectively. She received her doctorate (PhD) degree under the UGC (Government of India) JRF and SRF scheme in March 2018, from Applied Physics Department, Microelectronics Research Laboratory, Delhi Technological University (DTU) (Formerly Delhi College of Engineering), New Delhi, India. Dr. S. Jit is a Professor in the Department of Electronics Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi-221005, India. He has supervised 21 Ph.D. and 47 master’s theses; published 275 research articles including 51 papers in the IEEE journals and has authored/co-authored/edited 6 books. He is the recipient of the INSA Visiting Fellowship in 2006; the Postdoctoral Research Fellowship from the Georgia State University, the USA in 2007, and the BOYSCAST Fellowship of the DST, Govt. of India in 2011. Prof. Jit is the Fellow of the IET, UK; IETE, India; and IE, India; and Senior Member of the IEEE, USA. Somayeh Sadighian has received her B.S. in chemistry from University of Zanjan in 2005 and her M.S. and Ph.D. in Inorganic chemistry from the University of Zanjan, Iran, in 2009 and 2014, respectively. In 2014 she joined the Zanjan University of Medical Sciencesasassistant professor. She is currently serving in the department of pharmaceutical biomaterials at Zanjanuniversity of medical sciences, with a research focus on “graphene oxide for drug delivery”, “inorganic materials for bone regeneration”, and “inorganic materials for dental filling composites”.

Dr. Rahul Pandey is currently an Assistant Professor (Research) and associated with the VLSI Centre of Excellence at the CURIN department of Chitkara University. He received his doctorate (Ph.D.) in design and simulations of solar cells while associated with the Microelectronics Research Laboratory, Department of Applied Physics, Delhi Technological University, New Delhi, India. During his Ph.D. work, novel architectures have been designed for next-generation photovoltaics. He has been awarded junior and a senior research fellowship from the University Grant Commission (UGC) Government of India. He has published 70+ articles in international journals and conferences of high repute and is an active reviewer of several international journals of high repute. He has been awarded the outstanding researcher award from Chitkara University, Punjab, India, and received several research excellence and incentive awards from Chitkara University, Punjab, and Delhi Technological University, Delhi, India. His research area covers the design and simulation of solar cells, semiconductor physics, thin films and nanotechnology, electronic engineering, solar energy materials, photodetectors, Silicon, and perovskite solar cells. He is a member of the International Solar Energy Society (ISES), Wiesentalstr. 50, 79115 Freiburg, Germany. Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and Solar Energy Society of India (SESI).

Dr.M.D. Prakash is an associate Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, VR Siddhartha Engineering College, Vijayawada-520007, An Autonomous Institute Approved by AICTE, New Delhi, Affiliated to JNTUK, Kakinada, India. He has supervised 2 Ph.D. and 12 master’s theses; published 45 research articles including 4 papers in the IEEE journals and has authored/co-authored/edited 2 books; and also published and granted two international patents; the Ph.D. and Postdoctoral Research Fellowship from the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IITH), Hyderabad, India in 2014 and 2015 respectively, and the Young Scientist Research Award from SERB, DST, Govt. of India in 2019. Dr.Durga Prakash is a Senior Member of the IEEE, USA. He is the reviewer of many SCI journals.

Dr. Khalil safari-Anzabi was born in East Azerbaijan, Iran, in 1985. He received his M.S. in electronics from the University of Tabriz in 2015 and his Ph.D. in electronics from the Sahand University of Technology in 2020. His research interests include high-speed optical-communication systems, all-optical processing, microstrip filters and antennas, functional elements for radio-over-fiber systems, and microwave photonics mainly based on semiconductor optical amplifiers.
